Saturday 21st - Delivery Status comments noted possible delays
Monday 23rd, Delivery Date - Phone sales support, told that they had been affected by floods over the weekend (not on friday when it was supposed to be shipped), told the earliest it would be delivered would be Wednesday the 25th pending weather.

Who agrees with me that this is a p*** poor service? Considering all the times it could've been done and out the door they procrastinate and now they're six foot under water. Needles to say, I'm not a happy sponge.

Dude, -blam!- happens, and no one here cares. This is not the place to cry like a little girl about it. You should have ordered the parts from the manufacturers and built the computer yourself.

Let me put it in terms you may understand:

"Spongebob Squarepants ordered a crabby patty and the squidguy told him it would take five minutes. But there was a fire and everyone died so now Spongebob has to wait for his food. Spongebob was sad, but couldn't do anything about it. The End."

Sorry, I couldn't make it any simpler than that, can't get much dumber than Spongebob.

^100% win there guy
and if you want to talk to some one who gives a -blam!-, go talk to the people you ordered your computer from.

Ooooooooh. Now it's my turn to play ball.

Consider this. Had this computer been a vital matter, you should have gone with a reputable company such as Alienware, Dell, HP, etc. They're not that much more expensive (if at all) and their specially trained support staff is well above par when it comes to customer service. You goofed by trying to take shortcuts.

Next, as an MCSE myself, I can tell you that some things are quite simply out of the company's hands and you are being way to quick to judge them. To me it sounds like they followed protocol to the letter and you were just being impatient. It took two weeks for me to get my Dell laptop. Did I fret? No. I waited patiently so they could do their jobs and do them correctly. The final result is by far more important to me then how quick they can do it. Quality.

Take for example a computer I built for a family member. Both the power supply AND the motherboard I received from newegg were shot. Rare to have one let alone TWO hardware issues in the same machine, but it is certainly possible. The replacement power supply worked fine. The motherboard on the other hand did not. This was after shipping the first back to newegg and waiting an additional week for the replacement. As it turned out, the entire series for that particular board was defective and was recalled the next week by DFI. Because of these little technicalities that machine took three weeks to complete.

My point is don't be so quick to mistake poor customer service for sheer impatience on your part. Next time go with a company with more resources at there disposal. Go with Dell.

Dont worry.. your mommy will get you your chocolate milk for you later. You want respect then you also have to give it, maybe your parents didnt teach you that. Also so what if its over the internet, your automatically a jerk becuase you logged on? You must be 12.

Anyhoo i've had my share of companys giving my the run around for computer parts, its really frustrating.

O and now that you mention it... i am an eagle scout ;)

[joke]Damn! I put money down you were a girl scout.[/joke]
Oh, and just in case you weren't paying attention, the title said "rant", which means "To suddenly give a long speech that usually results in rambling and repeating of nonsence.", so, if this stands to reason, no one wants to hear any of this "nonsense". No, -blam!- off, you don't call people 12 year olds without supporting evidence, which you have none because Obi-Wan isn't 12. Oh, another tip, don't bring in anyone's family members, because it is an easy way to show that you can't come up with anything witty to say.

Yeah, I really want respect from a bunch of people on the internet. It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside knowing that someone I have never met, and will never meet, thinks I'm cool. Now lets take a closer look at this post.

1: You brought parents into the argument, which in real life would be a huge no-no with me. Since I have put people in the emergency room for saying much less than what you have. But since this is the internet, it just tells me that you really have nothing original to say.

2: You called me 12. Once again, another indicator that you have no originality.

Most people here would attest to the fact that I'm not a jerk all the time, or to everyone. Only to those who deserve a swift verbal beating. Such as the creator of this thread, and to a lesser extent yourself. And I'm not automatically a jerk because I logged on. I'm actually a jerk in real life as well. That's just what I am, I'm sorry that you don't like it.

Actually, I'm not really sorry. Tough s--t kid.

If you're joking, that's fine. If you aren't, please leave. I swear to god, get it through your head - DELLS SUCK - no matter how you put it. Unless you're buying a paperweight computer don't even THINK about a dell. Along with the 50 bucks you save with a Dell, you also get:
Shovelware
Instability out of the box
Proprietary Motherboards that make you go through excruciating crap to fix the computer yourself
Low Quality components
Crappy Customer service (really crappy)
Ugly Plastic cases that insulate the entire system and are of terrible quality
Building methods that require you to learn something new to upgrade the system, and hinder cooling.

Yes, buy a Dell. Or better yet, a Mac

Here, let me put it in a perspective that you can understand.

What if You called your mom, and she said she would be over in an hour to make babies with you. Well, it turns out, she was messing around with someone else, so she didn't come over until the next day.

You had to wait Alot longer than you were expecting.
