Anyway, it does seem that there are periods where some box or person has the upper hand, although it is not tied to bad connections, unless the switch is 10 as opposed to 100 base T.
The problem may arise from incompatability, or ongoing emulation across different platforms or update versions. For example, If one Xbox were to never have gone on Xbox live, while one did and had been updated, the emulation going on could slow one of the boxes down and cause lag. Another cause would be the same example, but with a 360 that had never gotten an updated version of the emulator for original Xbox games. I have seen Halo 2 games played on 360s with old(er) emulators, and the lag is a sight to behold.
