If I get matched with a player who obviously cheats in matchmaking, what would be the best thing to do?

If I stay the course and play on his/her team, I could see this being construed as boosting. But leaving may not be the best thing to do. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to resolve this scenario?

Yes. Another scare tactic by Bungie. I've never heard of people playing with cheaters and getting banned for it. Only the actual cheater gets banned. Especially if you aren't modding, you probably wont get caught.

In your case, if you get matched up in double team and your random partner standbye's, you dont have any control over that. Just sit in a corner and let him be a -blam!-, the game isnt gonna be fun anyways.

So there would be little chance of the blame being apportioned to me, even by disgruntled members of the opposite team?

It is hard to tell who's cheating sometimes, and someone who isn't out to report everyone on the opposite team could make an error and report the wrong person...

Yeah I dont think ur gonna get caught. I, myself, dont even report cheaters anymore. I dont think its worth it. After they reset the ranks, I just dont care that much about them anymore. Anyone who cheats to get a meaningless rank is silly. LOL it is fun though. When I used to play with bridgers, They would get sooo pissed. People probably dont care too much about their rank. Right now, I play something like skirmish and help out the other team. Its so much fun.

If I could find the game. Depending on how they cheat, depends on what you do. But a good way is to get the cheater to betray you until you can boot him. Then make sure the other team wins. I have done it and I had someone do it for me.

Interesting idea, A...

But would anyone have an objection to quitting if the cheater was on the same team as you?

I don't think anybody woud blame you for not wanting to play with a cheater. Quitting early would probably be better than staying and either hurting your own K/D rating or taking a chance on helping out a -blam!-.

While I normally don't advocate quitting in a game, I think under these circumstances it would be the better option.
