I agree, host advantage is a huge problem, but I think you are overstating when you argue that Americans don't have the same problem. I've been playing since the early days also, and once you reach a certain skill level (around 30 or so), host advantage can really help decide a game (especially on mid to large maps where BR's are involved). Most guys who argue otherwise probably host alot. Truthfully, we ALL experience the disadvantage. I live in the Bay Area, CA, but my cable connection is mediocre at best, and I rarely grab host. Meanwhile, many of the games I play find me pitted against players (and often teams) with near perfect connections (full green status bars). Being able to drop someone with 4 body shots as opposed to emptying a clip on their dome is a huge advantage. Sometimes if I mention host advantage, the other team scoffs. To prove my point, however, I'll challenge them to a custom game on my connection, on a map of thier choice. I have yet to lose a re-match.
