I am curious as to why i can see certain individuals with nics like "ih8kneegrows" still playing halo 2 on live. I and many others sent feedback regarding this individual, but these racsist morons still abound like cockroaches. ive seen people with names like whitepower, and teabagger and not only is it offensive to me, but what about those 13 yr olds, whose parents trust a good company like bungie, let thier kids play the game, and then overhear or see these cerebrally inept holistic twits? Does the feedback actually work, and if so how long does it take for the offenders to be policed? Also what is the penalty incurred by these infractions against the policy they clicked yes to? Thank you for your reply.....

i dunno about the feedback, and it's no excuse for racially offensive things, but if a parent lets their young children play games designed and blatantly marked for adults, it's their own fault.

two things..... regardless if the parents bought thier teen a TEEN game, then NOONE has the right to go around with racially offensive names, especially like the ones i used as examples. And yes, you will see them again, i see quite a few people throughout my halo 2 gaming, depending on the time of day, when you aquire a certain level theres only a limited selection of people to play against, and since i am a 12 in big team, i see the same people on a fairly regular basis. two, if you want me to shut up, have someone with atleast a third grade grammatical equivilency tell me to do so, besides the fact that this is a post wherein i was asking a question you intellectually void, subhuman, hooked on phonics needing moron.

Actually, its more so microsoft's fault, not bungies - live isn't ran by them, and neither's the reporting service.

It is a problem that should be sorted - prehaps by forcing the person to change their account name somehow, or by banning / terminating the account. racism shouldn't be tolerated anywhere, be it a videogame, or in school, or in a shop. Racism is a crime, and anyone caught being racist should consider themselves lucky that they get a ban and its not taken any further.

And about younger people - the racism is occuring in the gamertags, which are global to all xbox live games. Its even against the TOS, yet nothing is occuring to stop this issue. I find it ironic that modders get banned off the bat who may (or may not) have legit intentions, yet abusive and racist players on live (through gamertags or otherwise) aren't getting punished in the slightest.

Yes, I'm new to live, and here isn't the place to talk about this (it really needs to be said directly to microsoft), but for a paid service.... live really needs to bring its act together.

Sorry for the rant, its just something that needs to be sorted, whether it affects you or not.

All things being said, I suppose I can't say this.

I totally Agree witht he original poster. Racism should not be allowed! something needs to be done.

Sorry, my mistake. Tho, as far as i'm aware, public racism is a crime, or at least, its treated like it in the UK (or i'm just in an anti-racism area, whatever).

Ofcourse, everyone's entitled to opinions, so racist ones can't really be helped. But a lot of racism shows its form in slander and other attacks (be them physical, mental or verbal). These ARE illegal, even non-racist ones (actually calling someone a name can be taken as liable, and if xbox live logged these.... well..... to the courts! :P).

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

It is not a racial name, the player simply hates when knees grow. However you perceive it is your opinion. You are assuming that the way the name sounds is racist, but it may not be, would that make you the racist person for thinking it?

And if Xbox live is going to crack down on people’s names, why don’t they crack down on offensive language? Why not start cracking down on a whole slue of problems?
