I see some folks here don't understand what competition is about. I blame our "education" system which has taught most of our young males that conflict is wrong, and nobody should win because it makes the people who don't win feel icky. This is a very feminine idea, and pathetic that so many boys will become weak minded "men" who mistakenly believe this PC nonsense.
Listen up Nancy-
Competition is what drives things. The desire to be better and ultimately be best is what gives us technological advances.
If you have a game with ten players and one wins, there is one winner and nine losers. If you have a game with ten players and nobody wins, you have
no winners and ten losers.
A man approaches a game with the same attitude that he approaches life. A man's attitude towards how he handles real world situations can be observed in how he conducts himself in a game. If you have a laizzez faire attitude in a game, it will translate into your work ethos. The people who drive society and are successes are not passive wimps who just flail around, they are dedicated, focused goal oriented people, in short, they have a winning attitude.
People with a winning attitude, don't p1ss off in the middle of a game to talk with their buds or take a leak. They handle their bladder before beginning and their buds can wait the 10 minutes it takes to prosecute the battle. Nobody with any sense of decency is going to expect others to shoulder his load because of some selfish asinine reason.
I go online to play and to win. Winning is fun. Losing is for losers. Losing is not fun. If you are OK with being a loser don't go online. Set up a custom game for others who are like minded and you can have your own little online version of the Special Olympics. Don't ruin my game.
All of you need to read On Killing and On Combat by Grossman. To many of you have become gelded by PC oriented BS. You also need to read Wild at Heart. Men are supposed to fight. It is in our souls and our genes. Competition is enjoyable because deep down we are all killers. Competition is good because it allows what is best in us to surface and be made evident.
