I have been wanting to get halo 2 vista, but with all the promblems and people saying it is not worth it I was wondering would it be better to just get the 360 and buy an xfps pro or whatever that is called. do any of you think that this is a better idea? I also was wondering if it is true that with gold live memmbership you get crossplatform play? I have herd from people that you don't and others that you do. Thank you for any info.

If you have a PC that can run Halo 2 VISTA, it's actually pretty awesome imo. But if you have an Xbox 360, there really isn't much point upgrading just to play it. And if you don't have a 360, get one over a new PC. Halo 3's coming out September 25th so it would be a much better purchase.

There is NO crossplatform play whatsoever. You can chat and message over LIVE to people on Xbox 360's but you cannot play with them.

I say get Halo 2 Vista, we desperately need a stronger community, and Halo plays much better with a Mouse / Keyboard in my honest opinion.

...that is, if our servers come back online. =/

Yeah. Same here. My box says $49.99, but I got it for $37.99.

The whole mouse and keyboard thing is why I was thinking of getting an xbox 360 with xfps 360 pro http://www.xcm.cc/XFPS_360_PRO.htm

I would also have to buy a brand new computer for around 400 dollars I believe when I built it on tigerdirect. That is why I am trying to figure out what to do.

so do you think that that is a better idea to get than buying a whole new computer and vista?

For the short term, yes. For the long run, no. If all you care about using Vista for is Halo 2, get the Xbox version and that additional peripheral. If you plan on following Games for Windows LIVE by getting Shadowrun and any others that may come in the future, get the computer with Vista. Also you'll need Vista to run DirectX 10 games if you plan on getting those. It's all dependent on your position for your gaming in the future.

Do the people on Xbox Live a favor, and don't get the XFPS. Halo 2 with auto-aim AND kb/m would be really, really cheap. You wouldn't miss a shot.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

absolutely not, the only part thats halfway decent and wouldn't have any trouble is the CPU otherwise it has a lack of ram, small harddrive, and slow ass videocard.

Um, I dunno if you guys know this, but people who use Keyboard and Mouse do not get the noob Auto-Aim feature you get with the Xbox controller. If you use a 360 Controller for Windows, you get the Auto-Aim. If you use Keyboard and Mouse, you do not. =/ Get your facts straight.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

You do know that in every game (pc or other) there is a certain degree of auto-aim, some more than others, and some a lot more than others.

I don't because I don't have it yet, but I think that is what I am getting, but would it know that you are not using an xbox controller with the adapter? Also why shouldn't I get a computer from best buy and where is better for a computer 600 or lower?
