A simple question. If no weapons are in sight except another dual wield will you dual it? Or will you go with the classical grenades? You can choose what the hypothetical weapon is.

persoanlly i love to use naades first, but if i know im gunna be in a close ranged fight, ill pick up a PP, plasma rifle, or another magnum before resorting to nades

I'd Rather Be A Smartass Than A Dumbass

A brute plasma rifle and a magnum can often beat a battle rifle at medium range and can beat anything close range evern sword noob combo and you can get about 5 kills with it before reloading too sir.

I dual weild often but only when it is the best option available.

Absolutely. I'll dual wield SMG and Magnum or a combo. I'll combo the PP and SMG / Mag. Particularly if the map has a limited number of BR spawns and no Carbines.

In SWAT Magnums it's a no brainer.

Yeah, that's technically the best combo in the game, if it wasn't for latency, you'd be getting 10-12 kills without reloading, which is why the Plasma Rifle always rules over the Plasma Pistol, you just keep shooting with lots of power.

People dont realize how awesome the brute plasma rifle is. Combo it w/ the smg or pistol and you'll be a god. Why wouldnt you dual wield? Its great for the smaller sized maps where people usually go for the BR, like elongation, sactuary, lockout.

I had read that dual-wielding the plasma rifle and a human weapon is a great combo but I didn't use it long enough to really get thehang of it. Do you lead in with the plasma rifle and then finish with the Mag/SMG or do you comb / alternate fire them simultaneously?

RIP Halo 2.

Only when I don't have a Carbine, BR, Sniper, Rockets, Shotgun, or Sword available.

The most annoying level for Team SWAT magnums is probably Elongation. By the time you grab a second magnum and reload it you get nailed and start over with a single.

THe best map for SWAT has to be Sanctuary. Used to hate that map, now I love it.

Sanctuary one of the best. Ascension isnt bad either. I hate carbines on warlock.

If there's nothing else, then I'll take the weapon to dual wield.

  • 07.27.2007 6:13 AM PDT

Depends how many grenades I have.

usually the only map I'll dual wield is Turf since the plasma rifles are so close together, that is, if someone picks up the BR.

  • 07.27.2007 8:33 AM PDT

The only time I do is when I can carry one human, and one plasma weapon. I fire plasma first to knock down the sheild, and bullets to finish the job. If I can't carry one of each the grenades seem to work better and faster than two of the same weapons. At least for me.

Frantically wander the map until I find a suitable weapon. Use grenades to keep people off me while I search. =\

Dual smgs can kill sort of fast but a plasma pistol and magnum are devastating.

Two Brute Plasma rifles = Infinite win! Much more accurate than their blue counterparts. A few quick bursts and your enemies are as good as charcoal. I dual wield when its the best option.
