Every1 complains about camping, but lets say your team has the sniper and also has some weapons good in close range ex., sword or shotgun, why wouldnt u camp an area hard to get to, wher the other team has to first make it by your sniper, then secondly avoid all your close range weapons, seems like a good idea to me?, its usualyl not that hard to counter with a little comunication, so whats the big fuss about it?

Thats a very valid opinion. Why shouldnt you use a close range weapon in close range quarters? It makes sense to do. I just hate when people do it with rocks or noob combo. But the sword or shotgun, you are using a very one sided weapon to its utmost advantage. I dont like those kinds of weapons, I usually use the BR as an all purpose weapon with the BXR. Nothing is better than BXRing a sword guy mid lunge.

Most of the people will not agree with you bc they are not smart enough to figure out how to stop it.

As I've said in a previous related thread. Camping is a smart tactic. But, both of you have hit upon a key capability that most fail to use. Communication.

A Camper should only live through maybe a couple of kills. After the first kills re-spawn and communicate the campers location and tactic they should be doomed if the teammates are listening and taking advantage of the intel.

Most fail to and would rather run around and lone-wolf. Then, when the camper kills them, they whine about it being a cheap tactic.

I have an example.

I was playing SWAT CTF Classic on Sanctuary. The red team was smart and set up two campers. One was posted in the second floor area above the shotgun tunnel which allowed them to overlook the primary camper who was crouched mid ramp enabling him to just see over the floor where the flag was. From this position they were slaughtering anybody running to the flag. If the primary was approached from behind the overwatch nailed the interloper. If the overwatch was killed the primary camper moved.

I noticed this the second time I was wacked and advised the rest of my team of the tactic, where they were set-up and a suggestion on how to counter. Nobody listened (MM, non-friends) and continued to die.

After the rest of the team was wiped out a couple of times they also figured it out and we were able to coordinate and eliminate the threat.

Communication is important.

One of my Halo 3 montages.

camping is important too......to a degree. you'll start to notice that when your deaths are way more than your kills
