I'd Rather Be A Smartass Than A Dumbass

i completely agree with you Prince. i am behind your back 100% of the way on this matter. Like i said in that locked thread of yours, you proved my point to the ninja that made me feel like an idiot, telling me i COULD get banned for superbouncing, when it clearly stats in bungies rules, that you can't. it's honestly starting to p*ss me off

You can get banned for superjumping.

It will not be by Bungie but by Xbox Live as a result of feedback.

As to Prince I doubt a first time user would check the cheating section at all.

They will usually just go straight into the forum in my opinion.

Its a posibiltiy i'll go with 50/50 split, then also the vast majority of halo player dont use this site or don't look for cheating.

Then again this is an error on bungies behalf and should be put in the actual game at the loading screen that gives hints and tips and talks about the banhammer, that superbouncing and animation glitches are cheating

Or people should just use some common sense to work something out for themselves rather then requiring spoonfed answers from Bungie all the time sir. XD

Xiahou Dun i respect your opinions and your input in this disscussion, u have got me beliving that superbouncing is cheating. As its in there cheating section and i believe i was reading it wrong it just worded really badly

But animation glitching is not mention in there cheating section at all not even as a non bannable offence, which would still lead me to believe it OK no matter how i read there cheating section

Bungie's cheating section could be worded better, and updated, but until then, read what the Forum Ninjas and Bungie employees say, as it tends to be more decisively written than the FAQs, and what they say is law.

1. Any use of a glitch/bug in a game to acquire an advantage is cheating on Xbox Live. This includes but is not limited to superbouncing, flag through the wall tricks, leaving the map boundaries, triggering an animation bug using a sequence of button presses (BXR, etc.)
2. Anytime you see someone cheating, you should leave feedback on them, but it is up to you whether to do so. You define whether an action is cheating - you can define the above actions as normal, or be hardcore and define all of them as cheating. Since you're the one reporting the cheater, you get to be the ultimate arbiter of if cheating is occuring. This is a very obvious thing to say, but most people don't understand this.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

We don't fear any thread. We lock threads talking about glitches because they turn into cry baby flame wars. Don't believe me just search them. The topic has been beaten to death and most of us lock those topics on site.

Can you guess what is going to happen to this one as well?
