hey, anyone that has done the patch to make it play on XP, does it work pretty well? at least well enough??

I have Vista, but I experimented with the XP patch on my hard drive partition that has XP on it. It's glitchy as hell, and MP just plain doesn't work with it.

I say upgrade to Vista, you'll be better off if you do.

Exactly. MS is stopping support for XP next year anyway.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

It is pretty much useless to use the program on xp, there are so many features that you will be lacking, you will most definetly have a worse time on it, than with vista. And, node before you pop in, yes, we know it doesn't work at all with you and you have vista, I'm looking for something to help you out with that.

But if he already has all the versions, you might as well go with Ultimate.

That's creepy if you bought all 4 versions... but Home Premium is the best bet for a gamer. Ultimate has a lot of functionality that is used by less than 1% of the computing world, so it's a waste of money.

I have every version of windows, I didn't have to pay for it, it was given to me for free. I am currently using Ultimate and don't see whats wrong with it at all, it only uses 30% (650MB) of my 2GB of RAM. When gaming it never goes over 75% (1500MB) of RAM, even when playing games such as Supreme Commander. I'm currently thinking of installing Vista Ultimate x64 (currently have Vista Ultimate x86), but not sure if I should as there doesn't seem to be much driver support, and I hear Adobe doesn't support x64 windows, and I have Adobe Webdesign, which I need for a school project. But having an X2 5000+, I have seen benchmarks showing the x64 windows being faster than the x86 windows, especially in x64 bit applications. Hard decisions.
