Help! Does anyone know how I could change the gamertag that is currently linked to this account. It keeps putting the wrong gamertag because the email addresses are different for my Windows Live ID than what I registered here on Bungie.net a LONG time ago, so how the -blam!- do I change the emails so that I can link the correct gamertag? This is so annoying I have to log in different everytime and people think my gamertag is "silver ebase" when it is Ebase131.

Any help please anyone?

You can't. You have to create a new account.

Yeah I know, it sucks.

Kodemyster there is really NO way to change it? That is so terrible if it is true there has to be a way.

Did you not look at my link I so loveingly provided?

There's two links in there that tell you how to unlink a gamertag, and how to link them.

This is so incredibly frustrating, how the hell do I "link" this unwanted gamertag to another email address. I got the links and they help to extent, but they are way too vague and don't actually help me. I have "Silver Ebase" linked right now to my bungie.net name, but I want my actual gamertag "Ebase131" to be linked to this bungie.net name, and I have no idea where to go once I'm on xbox.com and how to change that -blam!-. I thought I changed it, but I tried and it didn't do anything so I'm back to where I started.

Is there anyway to easily just change the email I log in to bungie.net with instead of it HAVING to be the one I registered with a million years ago? How can no one else have had this problem billions of times. Should be so simple, some option where you can just click "I want to change the email address" then change it.

Can any admins out there help? Could I maybe make a "new" name, still Ebase131 but with the email address I want so I can link my actual gamertag?

Sorry this is just incredibly frustrating, thank you for any help.

I don't really know how to do it, but I guess you could just make a new account with the desired email address but you can't use ebase131. You might be able to use Ebase_131. I'm not entirely sure. Before you make the new account, get in contact with a ninja and let them know the situation so they're aware that you're making an alternate account and not going to use it to spam up the forums.

Go to xbox.com signed onto your 'Silver Ebase' account. Once there got to 'Manage Profile', there is a navigation bar in the top right hand corner that should say 'My Xbox' select the arrow, then scroll down and select 'Manage Profile'. Then, select 'Billing and Contact Information', select that, then change your email through there.

Then, sign onto Ebase131, and change the email to the email connected to your account.

Is there an easy way to just delete the "silver ebase" silver account, do I need my 360 to do that? Would that solve all this crap?

Thanks guys.

Why don't you just give me ONE SECOND!

Steve's was pretty good. Wish I would've found that. I had to make a new account and all that stuff. So... if that doesn't work, I think you have to make the new account.

You can delete it by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX. That, to my knowledge, is the only way to actually delete an account. This would free up your Windows Live Account so you wouldn't need a throw away one, so it would just delete one step.

Unless someone has a better idea, I think I'll just delete the silver account and hope it goes back to normal.

Yep, that's pretty much all you can do to delete an Xbox Live Account.

Hey Rokit, wouldn't it be easier though if Bungie just allowed you to type in a different gamertag to link? Or made it simpler to use a different email address?

What do you think Rokit dude?
