PC kicks xbox in the ass. Come on, we have leading, lag, and degraded shaders. Who doesn't want that!
People who want to play Halo 1 online, and people who like Custom Maps, because there are quite a few Custom Maps that are impressive and very fun to play. You can look past the lag and shaders (which, in the long run, do not matter... people who say a game is bad because of the graphics have VERY poor judgment skill) and see the brilliance in the Custom Maps and the intense fun you will partake in by playing on them.
I for one hope that the Halo 2 Vista Mapmaking Community is as active and innovative as Halo: Custom Edition was. So far, the majority of the Custom Maps for H2V are mediocre at best, but there is always potential. I may be out of line to judge what I cannot do, but sometimes I wonder why the map was put into release form in the form that it is in sometimes. I don't see any luster in the maps that are using that rainbow-letter scheme. It's an eyesore. =/
Bungie put a lot more polish and shine into their game than gearbox did. The fact that it was missing custom maps which the PC had doesn't mean that gearbox did a crappy port. Maps are nice, and I would take that any day, but remember, the entire Custom Edition version is a hack, that was later supported by gearbox. Just shows gearbox didn't even try to think of that, and the job that they did lacked so many things, and what it did have wasn't done well.
I'm not saying the PC version is bad, it's just that bungie put so much more care polish into the xbox version.
