GT: Il Immortal Il those are iL s :D

Last night while playing customs I started bluescreening... the game would continue while I was in BS and I would move across the map. It's continuing today... I'm trying to play matchmaking, but it goes to BS ever 30 seconds or so...

Any help?

Also, sometimes the BS will end the game... everyone else gets booted or something, because I'm alone and it says GAME OVER.

You're having some kind of connection problems, possibly a firewall, you continue to move because you're the only one who has the problem so the host xbox just disconnects you, and it comes up with only you in the game and says game over.

sounds like a connection problem.

1. Restart your modem/router. turn off, leave off for 60 sec (no less - need to flatten the caps), turn on and wait another 60 before trying to log in.

2. Look at what your NAT settings are - Google "open nat xbox live site:xbox.com" for more on this

3. Make sure that your xbox is not getting too hot

hope this helps

I don't recall doing anything on my computer to change my network, it was fine all night last night until suddenly it just went haywire

EDIT: Okay I'll try all that and get back to you..

Restarting the Router didn't work, my NAT is Open, and the Xbox is not overheating.

Getting desperate..

Don't worry about it, just go to the movies or something, might be more entertaining.

I've been to the movies like 6 times in the past few weeks, I've blown enough of my money there already. I'd like to play Halo..

Check that you Internet cabling (including phone lines if you Internet comes through your phone) has not been shifted anywhere in you house that might be causing a EMF problem. Of particular note is phone charges next to peoples bed that might have a phone line running next to them. Those type of ac/dc transformers put out a reasonable emf field that could be causing this problem. Such cabling should also not be running along with a power cable for any length.

well then, i would ring your Internet provider and ask them if they have any idea why - but this heavily depends on how competent the support people are you hit, and also how long you will have t wait on hold to talk to someone. If they start reading through some scripted troubleshooting guide - just hang up,.

take your xbox to a mates house and try it on their Internet and see if that helps. you should then know if it is you Internet (provider router or other environmental thing) or your xbox.

Bungie doesn't see gamers any more. They see walking credit cards.

Probably a connection problem.

This problem is vexing, and I have yet to find a solution. I even unplugged and untangled all the wires.

Any Tech Wiz people out there? Someone who happens to work for Geek Squad?

That would depend entirely on how succesful you are sir.

It could end up costing you money.

But yes you are having connection problems and lagging out. I reccomend trying again tomorrow. Most of the time there is a problem but sometimes you just get an unexplained bad connection for a few hours.

Halo 3 Academy--join to learn, join to play, join to have fun.

Check your connection speed here. Select the server closest to you for accurate results. For lag-free halo 2 on-line gaming you need download speed>1000kbps off-host and upload speed>500kbps on host.

I feel your blue screening pain buddy. I've been fighting comcast on this issue for more then a year now. If your connection speeds are adequate and you're still blue screening constantly then it could be one of a number of other issues:
1) Faulty equipment, most likely a bad modem or router.
2) An intermittent signal from your ISP, meaning that your connection can be fast one minute then drop to nearly nothing the next. This is a major problem for Halo 2 on-line which requires a constant connection stream.
In both cases I think your best move, if the problem doesn't clear up in a week, is to contact your ISP about the issue. Sometimes they're aware of a weak link in your area and can tell you when the issue will be resolved, or you may alert them to a new problem in their networking that they weren't aware of. Sometimes they'll even give you a refund for the time you had your bad connection if you're lucky. I wish you luck in fixing your bluescreening problem.

yeah, that means you lagged out of the game, and to everyone else, it looks like you quit. I know this, because that's what happens when I play during thunderstorms and my DSL gets all laggy cuz im in a semi-wooded area.
