Carrots.

Okay, so I guess we probably know the answer to the above question...

However, we USUALLY see flood forms carrying weapons like Shotguns, Rockets, Battle rifles and so on in ONE hand. It's funny, none the less, watching flood weild weapons that would normally blow peoples hands off in one hand.

I hear it's a bug, could anyone make sure of this?

It's not a bug, if so it was in Halo 1 also.

It's definitely not a bug. Like the Brutes, they're able to carry weapons in one hand that usually requires two hands to hold. In reality, it wouldn't blow your hand off, it'll just be incredibly hard to control recoil and fire accurately.

I believe Bungie would have made the choice for the Flood to carry weapons in one hand because it makes them seem more dead or even zombie-like; creates the illusion that they're barely alive and have little consciousness. If they carried the guns with both hands, they'd seem in full control of the body they're hosting which, by the way, has been eaten and is technically dead. It's quite difficult to explain what I mean. In Halo 1, the Flood didn't even respond to grenades.

So, as I just said, it's probably for effect. However, the Flood are smart enough to fly dropships and such, maybe they should seem more alive and seem like they're actually putting effort into things.

Lol if you ride in the passenger seat of a Warhog and have a bruteshot you one-hand it like a pistol, quite funny looking actually

Elites carry rockets with one hand.

If the flood don't have enough control over their host bodies to hold the weapons with both hands, then how is it they can reload the weapons? I am mostly curious about the shotgun since it requires a pumping action after every shot. I haven't payed too much attention to that considering they are trying to kill me, but I have never really seen them reload their weapons.

*Shrugs shoulders* I don't know.

Enemies in game, I think, don't reload. Their plasma weapons can overheat, but, you never see them reloading weapons that need magazines and such.

Also, Brutes hold shotguns with one hand and they don't reload either.

Hm, well, I suggest no one thinks about this too much; not worth it.
