Subject: cool move--- leach manuever

take that

Not knowing if it had been named before, I figured I'd tag it first off, so in the chance it was new i'd get to name it. I am unsure what the big deal is about what dose or dose not constitute a manuever. Addittionaly, you can ride while the banshee boosts, you have to coordinate with the pilot and start running when he hits the boost. You slide back a little bit, but then it just goes almost back to normal. Also, if something works, dose that make it a n00b move? Something easy and effective would seem to be a good idea to me, in most all circumstances

Just Legit, you really have to familiarize yourself with the forum rules. AKA, no posting for the sole reason of flaming others, no using "noob" in your posts, no using "BK" in your posts.

Then try familiarizing yourself with general rules of society. Stop acting like a pompous prick, get off your high horse, and calm the hell down. You have nothing to gain here and you just make yourself look stupid when you talk trash on a friggin forum.

Just Legit must feel pretty special cuz he talked trash on an online forum. You are pathetic for doing so. Stop being pissy. I am guessing you are some 12 or 13 year old who seems to have nothing better to do than play Halo 2 all day and be on an online forum all day.

I wish to ask a different question sir.

This "maneuver" would never work in a serious game, or a game with people who know how to shoot up in the air.

Riding the banshee is nothing new, and extremely nooby, im surprised the people you were playing against were to nooby to simply snipe you out of the air, smg or rocket the banshee while it was flying for 45 seconds waiting to pick you up, or you falling off.

Definatly less effective then simply going through the teleporter, and running to the base...

And if the other team had rockets, how would they shoot it down with a rocket.

The fact is, it could easily work. Snipers don't tend to look for people on top of banshees. If they didn't see him jump on, they would most likely be looking at the exit of the portal, or other places to find the flag carrier, not on top of a banshee.

I've logged a lot of time on halo and halo 2 and I've never seen or even heard of that little trick. may not be super effective but it's still pretty cool. props.

So when you're playing CTF, and your flag is taken, you instantly look on top of an enemy banshee for it?

A Sniper would see you from the other side of the map, like i said against a decent team this just wouldnt work.

Other side of the map? You mean base to base on Coag? Where the Sniper doesn't have nearly the range to shoot someone accurately, especially someone falling through the air form the banshee?

Most likely the Sniper at their base would be killed by the other team. I doubt they got in and took the flag while the entire other team was alive. So the Sniper could very easily be dead, its actually probable. And again, IF the Sniper was alive, he would be looking for either a warthog, the flag guy going through portal, or the opposite side. They wouldn't look on top of the banshee. So if they finally saw the flag guy, which would require lucky timing, he would be jumping off the banshee into the base, from a range where you'd have to get very lucky to get a headshot, then, by that time, your flag is at the other teams base, while you are at...........yours. Sounds like a good plan. next time I'm on Coag, I'll be sure to grab Sniper and wait for the flag guy to be on the other side of the map to try to shoot him, I'll ignore portal and warthog.

So...while your flag is gone, and you have the best weapon suited for taking out a flag carrier on Coag, you're first priority would be the guy in the banshee?

All I can say is wow, considering how many times someone will actually do this, you might get the Banshee every time, and the guy with the flag with run through portal and score 9.9/10 times. GJ.

A Banshee moving really slowly with a person on top of it is hard to miss, and your teammates could easily call it out.

If a teammate sees it and calls it out, then yeah, it would be quite easy. If they're right below the Banshee, would they see the guy on Top? If you actually decided to take a look at the banshee, you would see him. My point is, wouldn't a majority of people, when their flag is taken, concentrate on the conventional means of scoring it. Being Warthog, or portal? Plus, this is all reliant on your sniper still being alive, because generally, a team would have to kill at least some or a majority of the other team around the base to get in and take the flag.

If your team has rockets, and they try this move, it would never work, since the rocket guy would probably take out the banshee either way. If not though, its very possible that because the other team is looking in specific spots on the ground for the flag, they would never notice he was on top of the banshee.

His statement was, that people who just knew how to shoot would be able to counter this. not true. You could counter it is the other team saw you, if not which is very possible, the team would have an easy score.

Carrots.

the problem is, even if you tried to run on the banshee (like you suposedly can) when you had the flag, you don't run at the same speed as a banshee does, so you wouldn't be able to keep up.

Halfway across coag, you can definateley see whoever is ontop of the banshee from the right angle.

If you start shooting the banshee with a br or other weapon with a scope, you would eventually kill whoever was piloting the banshee, so it doesn't work.
