360s had trouble loading them or something. I think it caused major lag.

Yeah, I play on a 360. And I will tell you this. It WILL lag on backwash. It gets so choppy. Ruins the gameplay.

Plus alot of people, including me, thinks that map sucks.

my other account, if you are gonna send me an FR, send it to this account and my Main GT.

no lag on 360. it left imprints of trees on your screen after you played it. even on a non hdtv. say you played bakwash, then went back to the lobby. now in the lobby everything looks fine, then when you start a game on any map besides backwash you would see the trees in a white outline and it would block your vision alot. this might not have happened to everyone, but it happened to me and alot of ppl i know. i don't remember it ever lagging on backwash.

Something about serious lag issues on 360, or imprinting or whatever. If you really want to play that map, it seems to run smootly in customs or offline. I say that because I've never encountered any problems in those scenarios. As for you last question, yes, technically they can, but why would they? Seeing as how they are currently putting all their time and effort into Halo 3, I see no reason that they would update a mediocre map that only a handful of people like.

Backwash works fine for on 360 until the Camo comes into play. (Thats one of the reasons it was removed) The camo causes insanely bad framerate issues for 360's so they had to remove it from all of MM. Its still available in Customs though. They're better anyway.

Never eat yellow snow, unless of course, you spilled your Mt. Dew!

You answered your own question, what a paradox. You obviously know it doesn't run smoothly and why. They would probably have to redo the whole map, or at least remove the fog in order for it to work. Too much time to spend on Halo 3 and no time left to work on their other game.

This is correct. I never had any problems in team snipes on that level because there wasn't active camo. Any other game that had camo on the map, would start lagging crazy as soon as someone picked up the camo.

And as for the "imprint" or "ghosting images" , that had nothing to do with the map backwash. That was due to the emulator. It happens on other maps as well. It even happens in campaign.

I've had the imprints before. What's an emulator?

A friend of mine and I were playing a matchmade game on lockout, and he jumped off the map during a firefight. He know has the bottom of lockout permanently burned into his tv screen. He hates it...

It HAPPENS on other maps, but not that often. It happened almost all the time on backwash.

RIP Halo 2.

Nice to have a Sentinel, nyways.

Only used for my Hide 'n' Seek.

Team Slayer was horrific in this level.

Maybe for you, but not for me. It happens the most on Lockout for me. And even more in campaign.
