Picture yourself sitting in a lobby. It's you and two other people. You're waiting for one more person to join so that you can try to level up in some Team Slayer. You wait for a few seconds, and then you see him join. But he brought someone. A person who is nice, but not exacley great. Isn't it akward to tell them that the noob has to leave? You feel so rude, and it's weird to keep one of his friends in the game with you.

Also, playing some double team with a guy that you don't know. And trying to get rid of him before he does too much damage to your score?

How do you go about doing this?

Ummm, you just tell them? I like you and like hanging out with you, but you just can't hang at this level.

I just do a Custom.

Hooray for FFA!

I wouldn't boot them at all sir.

At least however you do feel awkward about it there are a lot of players that would just boot immediately with no thought whatsoever.

You play a custom game or BTB or whatever takes your fancy.

In my life I have booted about 4 people from my partys and it has never been simply because they are not good enough or I want to play some MM with somebody else.

Also known as Entropy91
Black Water Ops representative.
See you on the battlefield.

How about this; you don't tell him to quit, and change the game to a custom, Rumble Pit, BTB, or whatever you feel like, and whenever that guy does quit, close the party and play Team Slayer.

First off, how can you be sure that any stranger will want to be a dick and ruin your score? Not everyone online is that much of a loser. If he does ruin your score by being a teamkiller, you can boot him.

He means that if he's playing Double Team with someone he doesn't really know he would want to get rid of them because they are not good enough to play Double Team with him and his level may drop.

I would agree with you but the booting system is B$ in halo 2. I've gone into a double team game and been team killed 5 times before I got the option to boot.

Yeah. Good suggestions. But it's like. You really want to play some Team Slayer. But this dude has no other people to play with. You just feel so awful leaving him.

You still don't leave him sir.

I don't really care so much about Team Slayer and not many people here do.

All you do is leave the party and start a new one, put the party privicay on invite only, then ivite the friend you want to play with, easy as that!

Carrots.

The game is about having fun. It's just that, a game, and playing with other people mereley enhances the fun.

Besides, even IF your rank goes down, you can still get it back. And if you can't, you don't deserve that rank anyway.

I second that. After the first year of Halo 2, I gave up caring about the stats and levels. I enjoyed the game a lot more at that point.
