I just finished my Last Halo 2 Montage ... it took me a few days to make "Thanks to work". I just want to know what fellow Halo 2 players think of it, since they know more about the game then anyone else.

Please, if you are going to say the editing sucked please explain why. Thats the only thing that mattered to me in this montage. I know some of the kills really are not that special, I just do this for the fun of the timing of the clips to the music.

Carrots.

All the sticks you got where pure luck and/or staged, no one can possibly anticipate some of the things you did.

You can't stage matchmaking, and everything is luck to people who can't do it themselves. I normally avg a few sticks a game. Communication with your team mates is a great thing, listen to them and tell them what is going on.

the editting is cool, but some of the things that happened looked staged; especially the plasma grenade in front of the teleporter

I can easily show the original clips. the teleporter one I just came through and saw the red dot following me when I threw it there.

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

Lots of you sticking ghosts that are trying to splatter you. Not too difficult when a big target is going right at you.

Good job on the montage.

I didn't know you had a bungie.net account.

I think people miss the point of a montage. It's not to show how good you are, just to entertain. I was entertained by the vid.
In that case, I hated it. You are pretty good though.

One of my Halo 3 montages.

good job. there was some pretty good stuff in there. it didn't look staged to me. i always do desperation sticks or grenades when i see a red dot on the radar or feel myself getting shot from behind.

That was awesome to watch. Pure action, never a dull moment. Music and editing went very will together. Entertainment level High. Good job.

Excuse me, but did I ever directly insult YOU in my post? You shouldn't insult me.
Also, no, you cannot stage matchmaking, but can you really destinguish in a video between a custom game and a matchmaking game from a video? No, so unless you have t3h pr00f, it's staged.

Fun video to watch! I don't if any of that was staged or not, it's a cool video with nice editing. I saw one sniper scene where if it were staged, you would have gotten a triple kill, but only got a double.

I wasn't directing that to you. I never said you couldn't. All I said is that people who think it is luck normally can't do it themselves. And you can normally tell if it is matchmaking or not. One, you can look throw my games player. I don't play custom games. The only thing I use custom games for is to wait for my team mates to get on. 2ndly, you can look in the bottom right corner and see the game names. Although some people might use default settings, most people use MLG settings and naming their game MLG Slayer.

This time I was lucky enough to have Sony Vegas 7 to edit it with. Most of my other videos were made with WMM and I hate that program -_-

Unbelievable! To think you would not only take the time to film, edit and then post garbage like this and have the audacity to call it a "Montage" is just laughable. Not to mention the horrible editing you just put a bunch of clips back to back. And lets not forget that you were most likely playing people who couldn't get past level tens. Oh, and what's that I see? A guest? Wow.

  • 07.30.2007 11:04 PM PDT

Good editing but the 'high kill medals' seem like customs mate, which really isn't that special.

However, I do think your editing work was well worth watching, great job! Especially the music timing to cuts/fades, nice.

  • 07.31.2007 12:47 AM PDT

Don't send me group invites.

I thought it was quite good.

Very enjoyable.

Yes you see one guest kill in the kill frenzy. But let me ask you, how many BTB games can you play right now that doesn't have guest? And no these are higher level guys for sure. And who cares what level they are? The point wasn't to show off my skill, but to use my skills at editing. Unless you can do better alone then don't bash the editing of the video.
