I do. But it isn't going to do anything. It is bungie's choice.

I don't know. I'd like to see something RPG/Adventure-ish. Something like they haven't done before. I mean, PiD was sort of an RPG, but it was just as much FPS. I'd like something new and inventive.

MEDIEVAL.
SWORDS.

Hmm, I just noticed that that would make a decent title, all capitalised like that...

On one hand, I would definitely like to see Bungie try something new and go in a completely new direction, as I know they are capable of. On the other hand, they are a team that has shown they are capable of creating the absolute best console FPS games on the market, and if they continue to work from an FPS template, I know their outings will continue to be top-notch, even if they have nothing to do with their already-established FPS Universes. I can definitely see myself ten years from now, still playing Bungie First-person shooters.

In other words, either way they go I'm in favor of.

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

If they don't, It will have been the second time that they were done with making FPSs

Oh yeah i'd love to see bungie make another sci-fi fps but i dought it would be as big as any halo game

The less than a second latency of online play is a better system to play off of than more health.

You realize this system is just as host based, right? because if you're fighting host, or someone with a better connection to host, and you each start firing at the same time, his BULLETS will register first, giving him slightly more health if the melees happen at the same time.

So would you rather have the BS of both, or just one?

Nah I kinda want it to be either third person adventure/ action style or maybe a decent RPG, with the type of story they could muster and these current gen graphics they could probably make a decent RPG worth playing twice through.

  • 07.31.2007 9:21 AM PDT

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

No FPS, if its space scifi shooter against alien alliance, again. Marathon and Halo seems so same. I like FPS and action games, but making same game again isnt good. I dont like RPG, but its better option than other spaceFPS.

Whatever Bungie wants and can.

halo and marathon are completely different. just becuase they are shooters doesnt mean if you played one you dont need to play the other... especially with 10 years in between them.

RPG games are awesome. from Oblivion to Final Fantasy to KotOR

but i dont know what bungie is capable of in terms of making something decent. hopefully it'll be something cool. another FPS would probably be good, and as said they have the creativity for an RPG (even within the Halo story). they have enough story to make 10 more FPS games just with halo. maybe a fighting game? super smash halo style or dead or alive: the covenant. something like that might be cool. maybe a squad based game; you could be sargeant johnson and control an elite squad of marines or tarturus and control your brutes.

There could be more differences: Space and FPS shooting makes them feel similiar and if Marathon would have been made 10 years later it likely would have been just like Halo. I rather want them to continue either Halo or even Marathon than make new spaceshooting because they had to.

Oblivion isnt that much RPG, only lucky thing is attacking but when i can do almost anything its great. Kotor is also great like few others but usually Action>RPG

Theres lots of good ideas for games, but it would be hard to keep quality with DOA:Halo and such. Battlefront or Super Smash could be great, but my idea of Battlefront would be pretty much and i doubt Smash would work because its all about familiar but different charachter meeting. Chief vs. Arbiter wouldnt be as exciting as Link vs. Samus or Mario vs. Mewtwo.

Like i have said whatever Bungie project is it could releate to this Halo familiar universe, even just slightly (Halo and its universe has potential for 100 games from worlds beginning to end with all planets and galaxies). Oblivion style game where we see Forerunner marks and few downed Covenant hermits. Something along those lines.

Realistic space-sim.
Screw the 'playability compromises', give it real-world physics.

when i think RPG i just think stats and leveling up. oblivion you choose you race, job, stats etc. so its one of the most robust RPG's in my opinion. real time games (not turn based) are more to my liking. even though i love KotOR i would much rather have it based on skill then roll of the die.

dalmedya i agree with you. realistic is awesome. i hate that games like RS:Vegas put in recharging health instead of health bars. bars arent the most realistic, but at least when you get shot your hurt. i think more games need Ghost Recons hurt=move slower.

but yeah, i dont know what bungies next game is/should be. lets just hope its at least half as good as Halo. then it'll be worth picking up at least.

If i have to put Oblivion in some category it is rpg, but there i can move freely and do anything so it feels im the guy, i just am able to create it. Stats doesnt matter so much when i can hide or dodge attacks and such but i guess its RPG. I dont like ordinary move, get attacked, turn based and repeat thing.

THats the thing with oridnary RPG, i cant win certain enemies if my stats arent good enough so game is always too easy or too hard. I cant beat Malak or Trayus without glitches or "cheats" like running that are in the game, who can win them on Hard difficulty.

I want Pimps at Sea a game that will mix the God of War combat system and Game play of Assassins Creed and the open endedness of Oblivion + the style and originality of Bungie.

That would be the ultimate game.... me matey.

If you want a decent MMORPG, play EveOnline. Freaking PWNS.
Non-realistic space-sim, however. I WANT REALISM.
Blargh.

kotor 1 wasnt very hard but kotor 2 the evil lady gave me hecka trouble. had to retry like 50 times and just barely beat her finally.

final fantasy 8 gave me a lot of trouble too. i kept trying to use magic and GFs to kill the final boss, but i found out (eventually) that sword attacks are way stronger.

And that was all about luck, spending time and right timing. My save in KOTOR is in last room just before i meet Malak, theres no shops or enemies to train. Same goes for KOTOR2, all about luck spending time without knowing how hard enemies will be and buying right things at right places. Thats why i like Action games, i can have whatever weapons when i save at Tartarus room and still i can easily win if i move and shoot well.
