im not sure if this has been discussed yet, and if it has than im the flaming copier, but what difficulty are you gonna play halo 2 on first? normally i would say the hardest as i do on any game...but halo isnt any game. we all know that, thats why we're here. i would love to just head on over to legendary land and feel right at home, but i have a feeling the AI might be a little too revamped in this going. and i dont want it to take too long to beat it, cause someones gonna end up tellin me what happens before i get to it, and i want to complete SP before i head over to live, so whats your choice?

Yeah i see your point. I think what your trying to say is that you want to enjoy the game on a fit difficulty level that's not too easy, yet not too hard, while also being able to enjoy the game have a challenge and beat it before somebody blows the big surprise. I think the only answer to this is to find out what difficuly will fit that description! Well, i dunno does that sound about right on what you, and I amd looking for? Am i right?

yah that about sums it up... im a pure legendary guy on the orig. but i know h2 is going to challange even the illest of halo players. but i also want to start off legendary, so by the time i do beat it...im well, the name says it all. `,-]

I think im probably going to go for heroic. Enough of a challenge so I dont get sick of slaughtering hordes of Covies(if thats even going to be possible with the amazing graphics, and new things so look at and explore), but easy enough so i dont get my ass kicked too bad by the revamped legendary Covies.

who knows it might all end up an overkilled and over amped sequel. but god i feel like a sinner just saying that. ive got hope in bungie, they've been an intelligent development team from the beginning, or atleast since marathon. `,-] jus playing bungie. but from what ive gatherd in all the hands-on previews ive read is that it still incorporates the old original halo feel, so playing it is just like an old friend.... faith dont let me down.

I'm pretty sure you'll be enjoying the new layout that Bungie has promised... dual wielding alone looks tempting enough.

indeed it does, but you wont find me doing it. im a nade spammer of the most annoying kind. pray you dont play me on a game with infinite nades. its over before it starts. i dont think ill be dissapointed no matter how the game turns out. but all this hype? christ, its quite a bit to live up to. dont you guys think? ill keep my expectations at nill, so no matter what happens im pleased.

you love grenades, and you have a dual wielding picture as your avatar???

anywho..... i think i'll go for normal, because (its amazing how i can relate back to goldeneye/perfect dark so many times) i was a pro at goldeneye, so i figured i could ace perfect dark (i started playing in the low difficulty) and was still having trouble, because even though the game had the old feel, enough had changed to make it possible to "learn" how to play again....

NORMAL FIRST i dont know if you noticed this but normal has some of the features and suprises that heroic or legendary did not. only on the pillar of autumn i think and not just the training.

I said Heroic because like someone already said, I like to play to where I am not getting my ass kicked but also to where I am not kicking too much ass, as on easy and normal.

I will probably play on Herioc first, by myself. Or Legendary on co-op.

There's only one way to do it in my mind. Single player - Normal difficulty.

Now, before you go calling me a "noob," hear me out.

Single player allows the experience to be as personal and engrossing as you allow it. While it's certainly a blast playing Co-op campaign, the only way to fully experience the atmosphere, environments and characters on a personal level is to do it alone.

As far as the normal difficulty, it's the mean of each setting. Not too easy, not too hard; just enough to create a challenge but not to the point where you cannot fully absorb the game and everything it has to offer. Granted, you don't want it to be a stroll in the park, but at the same time, you don't want to be distracted from what's really there.

Now, of course there's going to be some kid that says "im SOO sick @ halo i can play on legendary and c everything dood!!1! your suxxor if you have 2 play it on normal!! nEWb!" Sure, everyone can beat Halo on Legendary, it's not meant to be impossible - if you feel you've got something to prove by completing it on Legendary first, then go right ahead. If you want to have the opportunity to fully experience Halo 2 in it's full splendor, then take it down a notch. That's my opinion anyway :)

After you beat it on normal, there's really no reason to play it on anything but legendary.

I think i'll start on normal. Thiers no rush on finishing it on Ledgendary. Heck, i havn't even finished the halo on ledgendarty yet (1 level to go(the Library<shudders>)). Plus with all these new environments, you need a chance to take in the scenery. Aswell as Multiplayer. That's gona be suicide.

Everybody committed suicide
