I love the on-line play, especially the matchmaking-it's very innovative. The biggest problem isn't lag, it's the "suckouts" who leave the game before it's actually over. The thing is, this seems to happen as soon as the other team scores, no matter how early in the match it is. Once the first person abandon's ship--other team mates drop like flies, next thing you know-your the only person left, and are forced to eat the loss. The current penalty is not strict enough, and isn't working-it's time to take serious action! The only and best solution, as I see it, is to inflict a 1 level deduction to the people who leave. If they lost power in their home-tough, if their Xbox exploded-too bad. Of course the alternative is that one team scores--and everybody ends up leaving (on the loosing team)--which takes away from the quality of Halo2's matchmaking.----Bungie Please Patch--Before it's too late.

So I should be punished if I'm playing and something comes up and I have to suddenly do something around the house? No.

I just wish the penalites were only if you quit manually.

My network has given out a few times before I solved my router issue. Those were all games I came in last. One I had already locked up a win.

you can't, because there are too many reasons far more important than just being bad sports that might force a player to leave the game.

it's simply one of the things you have to deal with when playing a multiplayer game.

Yeah you cant punish people for having a life and leaving the game. It does get rather annoying though when the people in last place always seem to have something else to do. Or maybe they just did not like the game type matchmaking shoved down their troats.

I really can't believe I just read this. I mean, it's a game so if they wanna inflict a penalty, they can. I'm not really gonna care. But I have to say, losing a level on my Halo stats isn't going to keep me in a game if something comes up in the "real world". Come on now. It's an amazing game. Best I've played. But no.

And the level system isn't even supposed to be competitive. The goal isn't to make a high level. You'll get to the level you're naturally supposed to be at and even out. You'll have competitive matches that challenge you. You'll probably cry over the loses. If you need a hug, give me a call.
