WORT! WORT!......WORT! WORT!......WORT! WORT!
AWSOME NEWS!!!
But I have to admit. I was SOOOOOOOOO hopeing to play a Grunt. :(
But one must ask, "Why just Elites?"
I mean, we already know that there are other Spartan Types. To me, this tells us that we'll not see any other Spartans in Campaign and the armor we've seen is ONLY for MP. So I have missed feelings about it.
I STILL WANT TO BE A GRUNT, DANG IT!!
Really, why just Elites? Is it because of their abilities being the same as Johns? I'm sure that's it.
But I'm still going to hold my breath for downloadable characters as well. Knowing Bungie, the addition Elites will NOT show up in any othe cenimatics. So way I see it, Adding a Grunt, Hunter, Marine, etc, with Shields, etc, wouldn't hurt either. Okay, a Hunter with Shields and Duel weilding might not work for Campaign. But Iwould still like to why we can't be another Spartan, with different armor.
Serious Questions To Bungie:
1- What happens when a player has to leave?
You clearly point out that players can NOT enter Campaign games already in progressed. If they can't enter, then I can only assume they can't leave either. Not without ending the game that is. We saw in the Beta that when a single player quit or got booted, the game would ALWAYS end. It was a huge problem that most of us assumed Bungie fixed.
2- What about Teleportation?
In BOTH Halo 1 & Halo 2 the Co-Op had Teleportation for every Loading point. It didn't matter if the players were near one another or not, it would happen. And more then often screwed up strategies. In the article, Bungie states:
Acting as a team is a fantastic new twist to the Campaign gameplay – something that works as well on foot, in close confines as it does on the battlefield, with large scale vehicle mayhem. Scared of Jackal snipers? Send out a scout to see what dangers lie ahead. Terrified of an open field? Flank your enemies and swipe their rides. The combinations and scenarios are endless
We gamers (and most likely Bungie as well) KNOW that the above statement means squart if the Auto Teleportation system is still i place. It's difficult enough trying to flank a group of Covie bastards with 2 players. It's going to be a Nightmare with Four running around activation the teleportion right steady. So for the sake of the gamers' fun and the game itself, PLEASE turn off Auto-Teleportation. At least until a gamer starts a cutscene.
There are markers to inform us where each other are. If those are disabled, then we still have voice chat and IMs to work with.
That's really all I'm worried about as far as Co-Op.
