I have recently been playing a lot of halo 2 on x box live. Last week I played paintball for the first time in a year, and my skills in paintball have DOUBLED since the last time that I played. I believe that its because halo 2 has taught me some better strategies for "gunfights"

What about you, anything that you have noticed?

RIP Halo 2.

I have a hard time believing there's any correlation whatsoever between Halo and paintball skill. Even between paintball and Gears of War skill (Gears' combat was based on speedball) is a stretch.

Halo 2 hasn't taught me anything other than that weapons in the future make no sense whatsoever. Apparently shotguns need to be cocked each time you switch to them regardless of whether a round is in the chamber. Also, pistol slides don't lock back and rounds are magically chambered once the magazine is inserted. The only aspect of my life Halo 2 has improved is how long I procrastinate class-related things for. Not exactly a good thing.

...much stronger!

Fight hard, break bones >{o

it taught me a few tbagin techniques

it hasnt helped me at all in paintball especially since i play scenario and there arent many woods in halo...
besides in halo it takes more then one shot to take an opponent out. same for GoW so i dont see how its based off speedball. especially when in speedball you cant lean against a wall and see the field in 3rd perspective

nor take a chainsaw to your opponent.

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

Ever since I've started playing Halo 2 my social life has been diminishing, gaining weight slowly and losing muscle mass, becoming more hateful, and irregular sleeping patterns. Oh you wanted to hear good things? Hmm. Nope . . . can't think of anything.

Oh!!! Trash talking. Whole new level.

Never eat yellow snow, unless of course, you spilled your Mt. Dew!

I work with teenagers as part of my job and being a gamer has been a conversation starter, shared interest that has been useful. Combine that with my basketball skillz and the kids start to forget that I'm almost 30.

I have had a few opportunities to take on some of their challenges in Halo CE, Halo 2, along with Madden.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

Halo 2 has RUINED my life.

LoL joking. It did cause me to hit a couple bumps though, but that just taught me about keeping moderation with what's important and what's for fun.

But honestly, Halo 2 did get me more interested in computers, networking, programming.........I guess you could say me being a gamer and growing up on games is the real reason for that, but Halo 2 was kinda more of an influence.

That's all I can think of...........it's a good game, I'm glad I play it, though it does tend to anger me a bit when Xbox live is being.........."xbox live" LOL.

Uh, none. I'm just good at every single FPS I touch now. Or at least, I'm able to compete immediately with average players.

its funny that your hate deserves a whole area. makes it sound as if you used to spend 30 minutes just sitting in your room, just hating children. now you spend 1 hour.

Uh... I really don't think it can be said to have improved any area of my life. Except the area where I play xbox games.

yeh dude i found the first time i played pball in a while i had greatly improved due to playing loads of halo,
my team won the first comp id ever been in, we all play halo, after the comp we all went home and played ffa and i shat on them all

but if anything pball has improved my halo, stuff like snap shooting although not really applicable in halo, has improved my reflexes and accuracy for quick sniper/br shots etc

also i am 18 and my dad is 51, we both play div1 comp sup air paintball and im teachin him halo :D he just hates console based shooters, hes a pc man, as i used to be, its good for father son bonding lol

It is old compared to the average age of gamers out there. You find yourself right at the average age while your dad and I are at the "old" end of the spectrum. There have been a few polls on age of people on here and only a few are ever over the 40 year old mark. I definitely don't feel old but I can vividly remember the christmas where my brother and I got an original Nintendo that had just come out. I still have the thing. Gun for Duck Hunt doesn't work on flat screen tv's though.
