I've played many years of paintball and that's why I considering myself good at Halo because I'm always looking to the extra angle and perfect time to move. I believe it would help from Halo to paintball, because it works the othe way around. In Halo, you get into a place that the other team isn't aware of, you don't just start shooting like crazy, (you figure out where they are and allow them to open up)
You can't say one has helped you better at the other. Aiming a firearm in a video game is completely different than aiming a firearm or similar device in real life. The gameplay is also compltely different. For me at least, woodsball is about flanking, positioning, suppressing fire, timing, and marksmanship. Halo is a significantly faster game with jumping, huge runs speeds, fully automatic weapons which take several seconds to kill, and the ability to move from spot to spot on the map without having to worry about being instantly killed. It's just so radically different.
