When playing on Halo 2 or Halo 2 Vista, I think the Elites have the advantage. Sure, they may be bulky and absorb fire a lot easier. But it's a lot more difficult to get headshots on them.

When playing Swat, or any other BR variant, you'd be surprised at how many times just running away, and looking straight down can save your ass. It's literally impossible for your assailant to get a headshot. I even used this technique in Zombies, where I run backwards with my face looking towards the ground, I quickly turn around, and BAM! Gotcha.

It's also very difficult to get a headshot on Elites while they're in a Ghost as well... Plus, they're damn secksy.

Uhh... Cats.

I hate to burst your bubble mate, but -

Hit boxes are identical for both the Spartan & Elite model in MP!

Bungie has confirmed a few times over the years since Halo 2 (console) release. Hit boxes are invisible geometry/boxes around your character that detect the 'shots, hits, damage etc'.

I find it suprising how much H2 forums & H3 forum goers mess up official statements from Bungie, even when they clarify issues such as this one.

One of my Halo 3 montages.

it's definitely harder to hit an elite from behind, but other than that the elites are way worse than spartans.

That's when you are walking backwards. But who will be playing Team Snipers while facing backwards???

Ummm, I was joking around, for the most part. But seriously, running away (or towards someone whilst going backwards), and facing all the way towards the ground makes it near impossible to get a head shot.

You cannot deny that if you look down, it makes it difficult to shoot the Elite's head.

Some people take this thread too seriously :(
