There sure are a lot of you that want your name changed. If I could, I would change the account linked to my gamertag to this name.

Like most people say, your name has to be satisfying enough for you to continue liking the name. You should come up with a name that COMPLETELY satisfies your wants.

The problem is that at the time it is satisfying and you identify with it. Then you don't. In retrospect, I should have just made it my gamertag "Cas7er" or my last name "Caster"....And if someone did that for me....Well, that would just be dandy. ;)

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

I definitly need to get some things statened out with my gamertags, windows live accounts, and how they are all conected. I have 2 xbl accounts and 2 windows live accounts wich they are linked to. But those acccounts are listed as "childrens" accounts. I looked up the "parent" accounts of them and They are really wierd randome accounts wich I didn't create. How do I make a chilrens account not be linked to a parent account and not be a childrens account at all (I want messenger on my 360).

And I would definitly do some name changing. I found out that Vick as in Vick from RvB is spelled Vic not Vick. Dang. That's 2 windows live accounts and 1 xbl account spelled wrong. Wish I could change em. I wish I could just delite all the xbl and windows messenger accounts and start over. But I've done so much posting with this account and done so much with it's linked xbl account that starting over would be a big hassle.

The one and only.

If i could change my name it would be my actual gamertag name Arclight 71. When i went on B.net to register or whatever I made a Windows ID and made Arclight 71 as my name but then i didnt know how to link my gamertag to it. Then i signed in with my other Hotmail account which i used to create my gamertag with and then i had to use Arclight 92 instead. I deleted the Windows ID hoping it would delete my Arclight 71 account too. but i had to wait a year and that year is up so now all I need is a name change :)

So many people have spelling errors. Too bad they don't offer a one time change or something.

That would probably cause more problems than it would solve.

Unh4nd13d, I would suggest no bumping your threads. ;)

There are no irrelevant quotes of historical figures here. Neither will you find any links, chain posts, memes, clan advertisements, self-promotions, or the tiniest of ASCII pictures.

So go away.

And maybe after they get around to this, Bungie can help me change my gender as well?

Commenting on my own thread isn't a bump. If I post exactly beneath another of my posts with pointless garble, that's a bump. Very rarely do I post right beneath a different post. I usually edit the post above instead. But so long as someone is posting beneath me, it's not bumping. Besides, I always try to contribute to the conversation, even in my Halo 3 Forum Bungie Pro sticky I made sure my second post (technically a bump) was contributing further to what I had to say. Lets not forget, it got stickied too.

Edit: Not only that, but my goal is to clean up the countless other threads about name changes. I'm here for a good cause, be nice.

This is not the topic of this thread so lets try to discuss name changes here.

I understand all of this, and I understand that you did do this for a good cause. Yet you have the 'bumping' bit mixed up. Bumping is creating a post within your own thread that is very useless and adds nothing to the conversation. It does not matter if it is under one of your own posts or not, if the thread was on another page, and you posted with useless information that adds nothing to the conversation, then it is considered a bump.

In anycase, we should get back on topic. I am happy with my name. There is honestly nothing I would really change, since everyone know's me by 'Rokit'.

The usefulness of a comment is a matter of opinion. What you consider a bump, I consider a valid opinion. What you consider to be a valid argument about a bump, I consider to be a useless tangent from the main topic. If I get a notice from a moderator I will refrain from posting my opinion, but until then...back on topic.

I'd like to see the rules bent somewhat to allow, say, one time name changes or name changes approved by a mod/admin with a reasonable argument.

Take me for example. My screenname is "Webb90" because my nickname is "Webb", but that XBL username was already taken much to my dismay. All the accounts I have on my favourite websites have the screenname "Webb90" to keep things tidy and neat, in fact all the passwords are the same too (probobly could have left that out). But I've gotten in touch with the other "webb" on XBL and it turns out he's looking for a name change! Not exactly as compelling as Foman's psycotic nun story, but understandable at least.

So all of my names have been changed to "webb", I have 800 mspoints waiting for the name change, now all I need is for Achronos to change a well established system that could bring a downfall to this entire site so that I can take the 90 away from the end of my name. :)

Nowadays, anything can be trademarked.™

I just recently changed my Gamertag unaware of this problem, and all I want now is an "Unlink/link" Gamertag button without going through all the hassle.

Edit: Have I been blessed? Just moments ago I discovered that my new Gamertag has been linked to my account! For that I would like to thank Achronos or whoever answered my little problem.

Just for informational purposes:

Achronos is the only one who can change your name, and has been known to do so on the eve of every new year if the moon is full. That is to say, extremely rarely. Feel free to beg, but make sure he's having a good day first.

This is correct. But the chances of it happening are slim to none.
