I figure this is as good a place as any to make a little suggestion or comment on Halo 2's gun emplacements, as they appear in the videos.

It would be really sweet if the chain of bullets on the gun turrets actually animated as though they were being taken into the gun...at the moment they look a little simplified and polygonal, and dont appear to have any animation on them...it is only noticable because everything else in the game is so amazingly detailed and polished.

Just thought i would mention it...who knows someone might agree and adjust them slightly, or they may have already done so, but i figure i might as well bring it up.

Like a really super dedicated fan i want the game to be the best game ever made and trounce all compettion, and I know the whole team at Bungie are doing everything they can to make Halo 2 the best game ever, so i hope they will take my little comment as a postive contribution and not a complaint, because that is deffinately not how it is intended.

Also, If anyone else has any other little suggestions maybe they could also mention them here and see if they get added etc.

Cheers All

So you want the bullets fed through a clip on the stationary guns, just like the warthog? I don't see no problem with it. And have it animated, that wouldn't be so hard, it's on the 'hog.

I watched a documentery that says they took the bullet feed animation out of halo as it slowed the framerate down (I don't know if this is true) ut it would be very nice to have it in Halo 2 aslong as it didn't affect the preforamnce of the game. One more thing, the gun emplacements seem a little too easy to destroy (If you have watched the multiplayer demo they simply explode when hit by an explosive device e.g. rocket, grenade) Is this practical? as thre will be no need for the gun emplacements if they are destroyed before anyone can use them.

Yeah...I never seen that articel/movie saying they took it out because of frame rates or whatever, but I reakon by the time they are done it could be in with no real reduction to the frame rate.

I hope it is, but I dont want it affect the gameplay at all, so i hope they find a way to put it in that doesnt mess up the game.

I just thought id tell you that they only took out the feed animation for the multiplayer wid cos otherwise they might've gotten lag...i never noticed whether the bullet feed actually went through the gun on the warthog...

The videos shown are not the final version of the game, they are only used to keep players lurred in for the buy. It is likely that all the guns will look, fire, and reload in a realistic way, bungie doesnt spend 2 and a half years on a project for nothing you know,

Septorzero...

you make a point...

a rubbish point, but one none the less. (I say this is a friendly, joking tone)

I, like any real gamer do enjoy great gameplay, but when a game is created in such a way that the visuals in the game are intrinsicly linked with the gameplay experience, then i like them to be up to par on every level...

and just to make it clear, Halo 2's graphics are with out doubt up to par, i just thought i would help by pointing out any little niggles i may have, that someone else may also agree with.

For the record i play game like Tetris etc and dont give a hoot aboot the visuals, but with this game, on this console, in this next-gen FPS battle (Doom 3, Half Life 2 etc) I just think we all want it to be the BEST it can be and the best of all the titles.

I hope some people agree.

Lest not forget, it was with the same line of thought that came up with moniker 'combat evolved', that Halo was created...They want to take it to the next level...and every little detail they get spot on in Halo 2 can and will only help that more so.

Thanks for yer time
