i read somwhere that the SMG has pull back! i can't remember where i read it, but i think it was either the old OXM article, or one of Frankie's recent updates. did anyone else read this?

EDIT: for anyone that doesn't know what pull back is, its when the gun starts rising against your will from the light weight and heat as the gun fires. its also what screwed over the machine gun in Quake II

Yea I heard it does too. It was in some ign report. It was saying if you hold it for a period of time the gun's targeting reticle will go up. Will suck but I'm gonna be using sniping weapons most of the time, so it doesn't matter.

You do get alot of recoil when duel wealding. This is only because firing tow guns makes you, well, a killing machine. so they had to impliment some way of balencing this out

Still, if this stupid design decision spreads Halo 2 may get messy. Halo is an action-FPS - there is _NO_ room for pull-up in an action FPS, only the semi-realistic (Far Cry) and realistic (Raven Shield) ones. I say they should just reduce the accuracy instead of adding pull-up. This way the double SMG still owns people up close, but doesn't annoy the far away snipers.

I would think a Spartan could handle a smg fine with one hand without pull back, they are so strong, I agree with lowering accurasy instead of adding pull back.
