SB-117

Dry them tears, you have nothing to be sorry about. You can't say anything (even slightly ambiguous) without the hungry septagonians pouncing all over it like a pack of hungry cheetahs. Begging for more scraps and morsels of food.

Perhaps I am too much alike these frenzied cheetahs, and therefore saw the words "I wonder..." as a 100% beyond definate confirmation that you know something (or letting the "cat out of the bag" if you will).

No, Recon. You can rest assured that you didn't let anything "slip" (what would lead people to think you know something anyway...? You're not an employee... They're under the assumption that Achronos shared something with you... Which is a wild, baseless assumption in itself).

You are one hell of a cat suffocator. You can be proud of that. I like to think I'm a dog person too (even if I'm slightly allergic of them).

Honestly. I didn't ever say that it was coming. I spoke of it as a suggestion, a frequently offered idea, and we went on a speculation jaunt to consider what features/functions it "could" have.

My conscience is clear, but I do see how and why it could appear that I did blab. I can't change that perception. If my individual "trust rating" is harmed by this, so be it.

The point I was trying to make was if I (even with best intentions and no malice) can be seen as betraying trust.... why would Bungie even WANT to (as suggested) "trust the mostly anonymous community more" than they currently do?

No, not specifically you, just prying at the moderators in general :D.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Relax Recon. You didn't "spill the beans". You simply made some cryptic remarks in regards to a report feature. You did as you've always done. You did not do anything wrong at all.

You (and others) did the same thing with the trust system, but no one could possibly guess what you meant. This was a bit more obvious, but that's because the users have been clamoring for that feature for some time. You did not betray anyone's trust IMO. Cryptic remarks are all of our bread and butter as it were, and eventually one of them was going to get it right. Look a few pages back in this forum, and you'll see quite a few topics where the report feature was mentioned or asked for. If anything, we should all be happy that you were doing it to try to help a user understand your point. How is being helpful while still being cryptic wrong?

On topic, No.

Hang on a second.. ... <_<
*cough*
Recon, you're fine. Old and senile, but fine. ;)

I'm not sure how to comment on this without being off-topic to the actual point of the thread, but that's really great news about a coming report feature. ;) I really can't wait to see it, Achronos. (And the rest web team!)

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

The solution to this problem would be to just make better threads that won't need to be locked by anyone

Awesome news!
Oh and for the record, I didn't notice the cat being let out of the bag in Recon's post. Must be a ninja cat.

*Gives Recon negative rep*

LOL jk

Good to hear that Halo 3 is gonna bring some cool stuff to this site Achronos, and your reasoning on sigs makes sense. It does make the board much more organized, albiet losing a bit of "originality" when we post.

Regardless, these new features sound hella tight.

Hmmm, I wonder what this site would be like with a rep system? LOL. Can you say "anarchy?"
