I've been playing Double Team and I've been getting button combinationed. All of them Melee, Double, Quad Shot, Double Shot then BXBed. So I'm wondering how many of you actually do this.

No threads about cheating, yes button combos are cheating in MM (double team is MM).

It doesn't have to be in Matchmaking. There are things called Custom Games!

I'd Rather Be A Smartass Than A Dumbass

I don't but I don't really care if someone does it to me sir.

Yea, and it is still cheating! If someone standbys in custom games isn't it still cheating? Button combos are the same. They create an unfair balance in the game.

The argument that anyone can do them so do them fails. 1. Not everyone can do them 2. (me) can do them but choose not to because it is cheating.

Ditto. No one standbys in Custom Games. People do Button Combo everywhere.

No, it's only cheating in customs if you decide it is in your own ones. People who play customs together and all want to use them are hardly cheating each other.

It was not meant to be in the game and is cheating. So what if modders go into a game and use mods on eachother play? Are they hardly cheating eachother too? Its cheating everywhere except in stupid MLG.

I always show up those button comboers in MLG FFA games when i come in 1st or 2nd place without using them.

No it is not. Bungie have stated that you make your own rules in customs.

Modified content and network manipulation are cheating wherever they happen. Glitches are only specifically outlawed in matchmaking (and in anyone's game you play where they have a no glitches policy in place.)

Boohoohoo. Your tears are so sweet and yet salty at the same time. Keep crying for me. Yes, I do them (rarely, because I play smart). No, I dont care if they are cheating or not. Im not gonna get banned and neither will anyone else that does them.

Advocating them will get you banned dumbass. Tears? Was I crying? And if i run into people who use button combos in MM, i leave feedback, and if they talk smack and act like d1ckheads, i email h2cheats. You CAN get banned if you email h2cheats but most people don't do that.

Wrong.

Button combos are not cheating in Customs games. Bungie only has say over what is cheating in matchmaking.

No even mods can be legal in customs. The party leader is who makes rules in customs. Now, no one mods in customs to win. the modding that happens in customs is generally used for fun, and you aren't going to call that cheating are you? That's why for things like modding and standbying that the Bungie banhammer picks up, you get banned from MM, not customs.

You'll rarely see network manipulation in customs, thats just sad, and probably is cheating. i don't see games where the object is who can standby best.

Well, it's not that they're against the rules of the game in customs - I do see what you're getting at there - it's that it falls under the umbrella rule of no modified content on XBL. But in theory if you're all playing with the same mods it can't be said to be unfair as such.

MM: No.
LAN: BxR if the chance presents itself, but mostly no.

One of my Halo 3 montages.

whatever, if even if it's not considered cheating (which it is), it's still cheap and not meant to be in the game. i can't believe people complain more about the PP/BR combo (two weapons placed in the game) than they do about the button glitches and superbouncing. ridiculous.

You're ridiculous. The PP/BR combo is more valuable than any button glitch you can use.

Probably because PP/BR is easier to use, and can have more effect on the outcome of a game.

The PP/BR combo was put in the game for a reason. It is not any cheaper them someone with a rocket or sword. Button glitches should be considered cheating since it was not made as part of the game. But the noob combo is toned down to not track in halo 3 and the button glitches will not work in halo 3 so then everyone should be happy.

I find this poll to be totaly untruthfull at this time. I played a bunch of games almost every night and in every other game, I run into button glitchers. There are thousands of them out there and most lie about it.
