there is not point in saying hey i got a 40- HIGH RANK MEANS NOTHING, it means you either bridged host or cheated...and the skillfull player like myself have 27s cause of cheating.

Best Buy does have capture cards, they told me they didn't have any either, but I didn't believe them so I went and looked for them. And sure enough, I found them close to the computer stuff.

Just look for them you'll find them.

...Or, you could just click JROCK's link, which is conveniently located two posts up...then print the page and take it to best buy. And pwn them in their faces!!!

ive really never had much help on this forum by posting questions, but you guys nailed it. That link from Jrock, im gonna have to take in...I was told that they had none, and now that i see that, !!!!!!!!!!! i dont know what to do. Anyway, i like the idea that how your setting your stuff up, but will that work since i have an original xbox and not a 360? I also like the idea of getting a manager for a discount, unless their cheap bastards... Hope to have a montage going shortly

Adding on to what someone else said.
steps to getting discount:
walk in with a print out of the cap card on the internet, ask for a manager. Tell the manager i came in your store recently inquiring about the capture cards, i was boldly told that Best Buy does not carry any. Only to go home and find this online, if he doesn't flat out say i'm sorry here's a discount then simply say. I would like to file a complaint, stores don't like this. If he puts resistence to you filing a complaint simply say.I expect i will be getting a discount for the inconvience

ok, im thinking about videoing some of my playing, sticks, no scopes, fun stuff like that. What i need to know is what exactly do i need as far as stuff.. i curently have a Sony Vaio laptop, and a sony tv with an original xbox. This whole capture card thing has got me going nuts asking around, best buy doesnt have any...so what exactly would be the easiest way to hook the tv to the xbox, to the computer and record onto my hard drive? Any ideas on how to do it, equipment ideas, wires, splitters, or any other jazz you an think of is much appreciated. O yea, and umm....i dont really wanna spend a ton of money, ive heard "Pinnacles" are really nice and good, but their kinda outta my price range. So i guess what im asking is what do you people that make montages use as far as equipment.. And please only constructive criticism here, please.

Thanks in advance and hope to have my first montage up and going once i get what i need
