Legendary campaign with famine.
Work on BR headshots and your grenade tossing.

Learn how to aim...
Learn how to anticipate your enemy & act on it.
Learn weapon locations.
Always be aware of your location.
Learn about all possible spawn points,
EX: Red Team spawns here, Blue Team spawns there.
Learn how to counter vehicles.

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get... but you can bet it will be chocolate.

Master maps, master using the motion sensor (most important thing in games), all head shots with accurate weapons (BR, Sniper), anticipate your enemies move, learn to be patient, try and stay higher up, excel in grenades, learn to be coordinated with your team.

Matchmaking? He said he wants to get better...

Anyway, to the OP, if you want to get better play MLG customs or Team Hardcore with a team of people you are friends with/have team chemistry with.

1. Put your looking speed at a decent speed, if you use 10 you'll have a hard time aiming.
2. Try campgain on a hard difficulty, I'd suggest Herioc.
3. Play Team Training.
4. When you feel you're decent at headshotting you could try BR gamesor Team Sniper.
5, The rest is really a matter a skill and how you react, but you really never said what you're having trouble with, headshotting, sticking, or just killing?

If you're fighting fair, your tactics suck!

1 Sensitivity fits your playing (I use 8 =) )
2 Practice on campain
3 Learn every ones movements (What would a player do if you threw a gernade near the doorway were he was about to go and theres a door next to him, were would he go?)

Don't practice in Campaign. Play me 1v1 and I'll tell you what you're doing wrong and how to get better.

You also want to master NOT using the motion sensor. You won't always have it, and if you are totally dependant on it, then you'll suffer in games that lack it. I'm not saying don't use it, but play a lot of games where you don't have it and get used to it.
