HaloTitan, don't be discouraged. Some users simply enjoy getting a rise out of others, rather than contributing to discussion. Ignoring them is almost always the best policy.
Thanks, I try to employ that reasoning when it comes to dealing with people like that. However I tend to defend the things I care about and that can cause trouble. My first blacklisting (out of two) was for defending something someone was attacking and I would up getting out of hand. Ignoring people is the best thing I've done, but I'm still never happy to come across people like that.

I'm sick of posting a topic in whatever forum I'm in, and for no reason people have to be hateful towards me. This community is in a rapid downfall because of people who do this. I've moved from the Halo 3 forum to the flood, and now I have no desire to post in the flood. Maybe I should just come to B.Net for the updates. Has anyone else felt like this recently?
If this is how your commonly received on Bungie.net, then do not post here anymore. You're obviously not welcome or wanted here on this site.
Incorrect. Unless you're joking, you're sorely mistaken.
Bungie.net should be open to all. Flaming sucks, immaturity sucks, people who act like jerks suck, but it happens.
My first night of the Flood I got flamed yeah. But I didn't flame back, I just tried to ignore it. Keep posting, and keep being logical, and you'll be treated as such. The forum isn't that bad that good posters will always be flamed. However, to get "popularity points" you have to post a lot of low quality posts that tend to deride topics. But that's just the Flood being the Flood.
Halo 3 forum has and always will be a flame fest. Just reading some of the posts actually makes me upset, then I realize how stupid it is to be angry at some text written by someone I don't know and will never meet. You sometimes have to put things into perspective at times, especially on this site.
Don't let your bad experiences detract you Halotitan. You'll find your way. Just be yourself, no matter what anyone says. There are plenty of good people at Bungie.net, you just have to know where to look :-)
And there's always the Septagon. You'll rarely find random flaming and spam here.
Thanks man, I'll try looking harder.
