You Shall Not Pass!!!

Well, Southeast Lancer Marines, Ninja Academy. I am not posting advertisements, I am simply saying you will have a better environment to post in.

Hey, why don't you try joining a group? People never flame, and if they do, it's friendly. I have an easier time posting in the groups, I always get good responces, without worrying about a flamer.

What are you? A salesman? <<<"Lighter" Flame!!

Seriously? What group? A good one!

I definitely thing that there is some un-needed hostility in the community. I think people have gotten to a point where they assume that everyone is out to get them, or Rick Roll them, or is somehow maligned to them. I remember a recent dialogue that illustrated this perfectly:

User A: Hey, sweet, I just got the new EGM and it's really cool.
User B: Oh, how did you get it so early?
User A: I pre-ordered a game at my local game store, so I got it. (or something to that effect).
User B: Geez, i just asked a simple question, you didn't have to be such a dick about it.

It couldn't have been a more benign statement and the other guy freaked out about it. I really think that spam has lead everyone to be distrustful of everyone else (obviously, not "everyone," but you know what I mean).

You know, I don't doubt you on that, but people insult for fun. They said so themselves. There was a forum in the flood on this. People just think it's funny, that's why they make more than one profile to spam with and insult members with. I personally talk more in groups.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Yes. This forum is filled with genuine -blam!-s.

New Flood

I don't usually get flamed (much) but what I do get is people correcting my spelling/grammar and being jerks while doing it, you know stuff like "it's not colour you moron" stuff like that, nothing terribly serious. I never seem to see flaming, maybe it's just me, it may also be because I have a pretty good tolerance of idiots, trolls and flamers so don't tend to pick up on it much.
Don't worry about being flamed, it's not you that's in the wrong (usually). I would also suggest that anything that is said on the internet should be taken with a pinch of salt. Most often it's not very serious, even if it seems to be. It's the way the people in The Flood are (I assume you're predominantly talking about the flood btw) like that, that's the way that strange popularity system in The Flood goes, you have to degrade other members. I think it's kind of pathetic being a jerk to people you don't know over the internet. That said I am always a jerk to people I don't know over the internet.
As for things you can do to avoid being flamed, try using the search feature for repeat topics etc before posting new threads (I'm not saying you don't already do this btw)

Now then, the Halo 3 forum, I never post in there. I read, but I don't post! The crazy theories that are posted there are facinating and I am 'Getting Hyped' about Halo 3 most definately, but they aren't tolerant of people who don't keep up with the latest thing. There are also hundreds of repeat topics which drive me crazy. Not to mention that most of the people there don't really know what they're talking about (at least IMO) and for some reason are willing to fight tooth and nail using Ad hominem arguements to illustrate their theories and ravings.

I don't blame him. This is what happens to me when I feel like making a topic about Pokemon:

And seriously, how old are you? You should concentrate on education, or work (assuming you're old enough for one), or trying to achieve that one goal you have in mind...not wasting precious life on "oh man, I have so got to get me those legendary pokemons! omgomgomg!"

Wow, Code Zero, you must be living in a fantasy world which you merely dream of being in, thinking Pokemon actually takes skill. And the way you defended your favorite kids game...wow, you must really dedicate your entire time at home "training" and "battling". I mean, you're being way too hardcore about a game / show that are only targeted towards obnoxious little 9 year olds who are still at home suckling up to their moms.

I wouldn't be surprised if you blabbed on about with your hardcore friends at middle school about different "strategies" and how many Pokemon each of you caught. You're 15, godamit. I guess it's all right even for adults to play this once or twice a week, but a 15 year old like you who plays this everyday, and thinks he's hardcore and knows everything about this kids stuff? No doubt you also "duel" with Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Don't even get me started on what happens when I feel like making a topic about wrestling...

A good percent of the Flood is filled with FPS-loving-rock-worshipping -blam!-s who can't accept anyone else's opinion.

Wow, I have to think about what I want to post. I wouldn't have flamed you though, I played it. You just have to watch what you post in the flood, topics such as these are safer in groups.
