Yo,
Look, I was wondering whether adding this RAM would improve my performance. I already have one gigabyte of RAM. Oh, those will work in DDR2-PC25300 slots right?

More ram = better performance.

Would I probably feel a BIG jump from adding another 2GB to my "Nanya" 1GB?

The 1G that you have already, is it two 512M dimms or a single 1G? What speed is it? If it is not as fast as the new memeory, the system will still only run at the speed of the slower memory.

This is a beautiful site. Click scan my system and it will give you a list of possible memory upgrades that are compatible with your system. Crucail also offers a lifetime warantee on their RAM, which can be nice. I personally always buy my RAM from them. As far as the RAM you've picked out already, I can't tell if it would be compatible with the information you've given me. If you told me what motherboard you had I could tell you exactly what to look for. Motherboards are VERY specific about what RAM will and won't work. My computer is custom built by myself, so i've gone through this before.

On CVscorp's comment: Regardless of the speed of the RAM, getting two more gigs of RAM would boost performance VERY significantly. Not to say that speed isn't important, but the one gig you already have can't be that much slower than what you're getting, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have two 512 sticks in my system. BTW, its cheaper to get Crucial RAM from newegg than Crucial itself. I have an Intel G965 MB and my computer is from Dell.

I know, you can just use crucail to find what RAM modules will work, and then find those same ones on newegg. And by speed scorp ment as in MHz. Look at speed under tech spec in the specifications tab on newegg. Btw, g965 is a chipset, not a motherboard. Just a part of a motherboard. But after looking a some charts it seems to me that all motherboards with the g965 chipset support the same kind of RAM. The RAM you picked out is not compatible for a number of reasons. A RAM module is compatible with your computer if it meets these requirements:
1.8 V (only) DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
8 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 667 or DDR2 533 DIMMs;
4 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 800 DIMMs.
Minimum total system memory: 512 MB
Non-ECC DIMMs
Serial Presence Detect
DDR2 800, DDR2 667, or DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM DIMMs
DDR2 800 DIMMs with SPD timings of only 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 (tCL-tRCD-tRP)

Like a said in an earlier post, mb's are VERY specific about RAM. You've got to do your research.

I know that I HAVE to use DDR2 PC2-5300 but.......you know what? I have a Dell Dimension E520. And just please list off some 667MHz RAM that is popular. Oh, and I need 2x1GB sticks.
Look at this

This should be compatible with my motherobard right? I did a scan and got this. Will I need to change anyhting in the BIOS?
Sorry for the double-post.
