Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Amidst the complaints, immaturity, and general insanity of the Halo gaming community, this is like a breath of fresh air. And a great reminder that rewarding moments like these never happen to the people who spend their entire online experience -- either on the internet or on XBL -- insulting, trolling, and provoking.

Thanks.

So if you really want to get to know me, you're welcome to add me anywhere.

Wow, that's really cool.

I absolutely hate it when people make fun of other people's accents. I played a few Team Slayer games a few days ago, and I hadn't played in a while, so we were getting beat pretty badly by a few British chaps. Two guys on my team started cursing them out and making fun of them for the Revolutionary war, and other mildly stupid remarks. So the fourth guy on our team and I defended them, and they were actually really grateful after the game.

It's moments like those where you really appreciate the vastness of the XBL community, and the mature gamers out there...

5/5 Stars - Kritz.net

My faith in the Halo community went up a notch.

(I was going to add, "Now we're at notch one", but I don't think it fits the tone I want to set.)

Being Australian, I obviously get called out about the accent. Most of the time with bizarre comments such as, "fancy a cuppa tea govenah?", which doesn't really make sense because I have no why they think I'm English or why they think I'm from the 18th century.

Either way, I believe that's quite an interesting story you've found and should probably be shared with some of the more sceptical people around the forums. Anyway, I'll leave with a fitting quotation:

'Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Walk beside me and just be my friend.'

I grew up playing your games Bungie, and I sure as hell am looking forward to whatever you decide to do next.

A truly inspirational story. It's good to know that atleast a few Halo players out there are decent human beings.

aww, Kritz, who could possibly mock you!?!?

Sadly, I've never had such an experience, but I don't' play online much anymore, and the last time I played with someone with an accent, he cussed me out the whole game for not living up to his standards for teammates.

This was posted on gamespot by "overblast" And when I opened it, I expected him to brag about him and his montage, but instead, it was entirely something different:

"Me and a friend got into a BTB game (this took place after halo 2 kinda died out, fyi) and I get in a party with a guy from new Zealand. He has the accent and everything, and he clearly loved barking out orders and trying to keep the team together, we were winning anyways, but it was cool.

Everyone on the team kinda appreciated his effort, and instead of making jokes about his very large accent, we talked about how he could be the first to hold our babies and 'sacred'/weird things like that.

Most people after that match joined a party me and my friend made, including this guy. We played a few more rounds, talking about how awesome this guy was. The guy makes remarks about how people usually make fun of him for his accent, and not praise him. After about the 4th game of BTB. He finally breaks down and starts to cry, thanking us all so much for respecting his english and how he was always avoiding evil people, we could all kinda tell that we were all happy, and added him to our friends and such, then everyone including him had to go, but he was so thankful, it was just awesome.

If you were expecting my favorite moment to be me pwnz0ring a bunch of 10 year olds 50-2, then you're wrong, things like this have much more benefit than just cursing people out and forgetting about it."
