Ok, I've forwarded the ports 80, 2302, and 2303. I upgraded the haloded.exe from 1.02 to 1.07. I setup the init.txt and start up the server. It appears in the server list and I've had people join as well. Everything seems to be fine. But after just a few seconds, I get the "network cable unplugged" notification in my taskbar, and the internet completely goes out. I then have to resart the pc to regain connection. This happens when the server console is actually started, I've left the ports forwarded without problems. Is there an explanation for this? Thanks. Router = Linksys BEFSR41

P.S. I've run a steam cs server and soldat server without any issues.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

No bumps. And I'm not familiar with Halo DS!

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Never heard of this problem before.

Yes very weird, when the console is running, the internet goes out. Like I said I've run dedicated servers for other games for hours without a hitch. I can't understand why halo's is giving me trouble.

It's like the console or something is interferring with the net. I can't even host a 0 ping server without it happening. I closed the ds console, waited a few minutes, then my connection was resumed. ???

If possible, I'd suggest contacting support (would they even exist anymore?). This problem sounds pretty far out there.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

I still wonder myself. Sometimes, I do too, but I'm always afraid of finding out. You know, dead people speeking scare.

I'd try Gearbox. You know, they made us the horrible port.
