I am in a tournament in a few weeks and could use some tips. I am good but I want to know some tips to improve my skills. It is a regular tournament no swat or a sniping tournament just a regular tournament. I would appreiciate it if somebody could give me some tips.

And all of those things can be learned by practice.

True. He has to hope his team is competent in those aspects. He should practice with his team.
That first post i did was because you were too vague.

I assumed he was in an FFA tournament. But if it's for teams, then you DEFINATELY should be practicing with the guys that you're going with.

What rank are you? Just so we don't tell you crap you already know. How many people in each match? For example, is it 1v1 matches, or literally every man for himself (always hated the FFA abreviation, sounds like were talking about farming). Honestly, while they say to practice, there's certain things that you should probably pay special attention too, like figuring out what your weaknesses are, and looking at certain tactics and how to beat them. I have a friend who for some reason doesn't even play before he goes to tourneys or invites people over for halo. It's annoying with the "No fair, I'm still trying to remember the controls." Also, make sure you have every setting just the way it is on your xbox at home. People at tourneys would love to steal a free kill while your changing settings, beleive me, they don't feel guilty about it at all. Keep track of the power weapons, if only to keep them from enemy hands. Even if for example you were to suck at sniping, try it. It'll keep it outta' their hands and use up the ammo in case they were to take it from you.

Actually Ix ReX xI's link it really good. You should definitly check it out.

I'm not sure how many people there will be at one time. I have not been given all the information yet so I am not sure.

If it is an FFA tournament, practice with the H2 Challenge playlist. I am sure you will improve after playing that a bunch.

Here's an important tip for TEAM SLAYER:

K/D Spread is more important than actual Kills. If you get 20 kills but die 24 times you've actually given the oppenent more points and didn't really
help your team, even if you have the most kills. When playing Team Slayer, actually put some effort into staying alive.

when ur getting chased and hose down by weapons thro grenades in front of u of a wall. shields are down pop grenades so no one comes in. pratice ur game and get the muscle memory going, wen u see two more fighting pop a grenade steal kills, finish ur kill quickly, load up on grenades wen possible no open areas cause of snipe or br. try to stay in close range area with shotty or something, sniper isnt really helpful cause ull get like two kills before someone finds u and ur dead but kep so others cant use, make others follow ur rules (u have shotty force them near u, u have rockets hunt em, u have sniper make em come to u steal kills.) good luck and gg
