We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.
I made this post so as to be directed at the New Mombasians, but after seeing it fly off the front page with no opinions attached, and realizing that it doesn't really involve Halo 2, I thought I would post it here to see the responses from some of the more mature members. Sadly, it won't be able to help people as much here as it would in New Mombasa, but oh well.
This is mostly in reference to the why kids should play halo and halo 2 and why grown ups should stop whining post, although there are many other similar examples.

Actually paying attention
A couple of days ago I saw a thread with an adult complaining about kids playing Halo 2 because they were being annoying or something like that. However, I have a few things to say to the grown ups who think people younger then 21 shouldn’t play M rated games.
Note a few things.
1) His name is “not in the balls”. Yes, that makes me think highly of him before I even started reading his post.
2) He for some reason doesn’t know how to use capitalization.
3) He insults the other poster almost immediately by calling him “old man”. Just because he’s not a teenager doesn’t make him old.
4) The Microsoft Word check took only about ten seconds. In total it would take about thirty at max to cut and paste as well.
Now for his entire post.

1) im 14 i play and i dont even talk on halo 2 putting a sniper round through your visor or your hard elite head is enough of a " i kicked your @$$"
2) your a grown up why are you complaining arnt you supposed to be mature and just let it go
3) kids are people too they deserve some fun
and the last comment
4) DEAL WITH IT ILL PLAY AS MUCH AS I GOD D@MN WANT!!!

1) I wonder what he edited it for? He missed a lot.
2) He “cleverly” cheats the filter system, which is there for a reason.
3) His second point is somewhat hypocritical; his thread is about how kids can be mature, and yet his is complaining about why the other guy posted his thoughts. If he followed his own advice this thread wouldn’t be here.
4) Did the other guy ever say that kids don’t deserve any fun? His main point was that not every kid should be allowed to play it, because not all of them are mature enough.
5) His fourth point speaks for itself.
6) While this doesn’t have much relevance to the subject, I found it interesting that his post had a reading level of 1.2 according to Microsoft Word.
Come on guys, it’s not hard to seem mature on these forums. Writing legibly without flaming is not difficult, but many of you seem incapable of it. Perhaps I am being petty and hypocritical myself, as I am only fifteen, but after seeing the flood of illegible posting after November 9 it’s been difficult for many of the better members (not necessarily including myself) to hold their tempers and tongues.
