It just occured to me, why is it that Bungie doesn't have their own Myspace? I mean, bands/singers, use them as a way to promate themselves, and FREE, might I add. So, I think that somebody should create Bungie a Myspace, and compile a lot of useful info, pictures, etc.

Whaddya say? Does it sound like a good idea?

It's free publicity, what's wrong with that?

Nothing, I said nice idea, but I really don't think bungie needs more publicity. Any fan of Halo knows who bungie is.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

People have made countless myspace pages for Bungie and Halo. None on them work out because Bungie does not need a myspace. They have their own site and all that. People can make myspaces for Bungie all day, and it won't do anything to help them. Most people who are interested in Bungie enough to search them out on the Internet would probably come here anyway.

What's more useful? A massive site dedicated to bungie and its community, or a bland myspace page? Everyone already has a myspace page, but Bungie has their own mega site. No contest IMO.

I'm happy about that, because I severely dislike myspace.

MySpace is for whiny emos and 14-year-olds.
Like certain mods who, if I name, will smite me with the BanHammer so hard I'll have to go through 15 alternated accounts before I find one that works.

HEY!

But on a serious note, you can lock this up. I see now that it was somewhat of a foolish idea.

Bungie.net

I just checked out that link, k4karnage, and what I saw was improper use of copyrighted music, a horribly layout even for a myspace page, information about Bungie.net that is not even correct or appropriate, advertisement for other companies and services that has nothing to do with Bungie and I thought that was bad until I saw the comments section...

"Erotic website" spam. Yeah, the first comment was of course spam for erotic websites. Then followed by requests to be unbanned here, ebay spam/scams, religious spam, and... Harry Potter discussions? Wow... Is this what we want to represent the real Bungie.net? Is this the way we want to show others what we come here and what the site is all about?

But, it seems to be that's not what the myspace page is really about. Most likely it was the person who put it up there trying to be "cool", or find some way to get more friends. There's nothing there that seem to show off Bungie.net or the good Bungie lore that would be fun. Nothing about Bungies history, the games, the community or awesomeness that could potentially make it a cool MySpace site. It tries, or at least I think it tries but it fails so bad. Whoever put it there, please make it better or add some way to see that it's not an official Bungie site.

Dude, we could click on the Bungie Myspace and get to hear Achronos' favorite bands like Hootie and the Blowfish. Can we do that here? That's right, didn't think so.

There is no reason for Bungie to degrade themselves by having a myspace page, they already have one of the best websites I've ever seen. Did you know that there are approximately 26 000 if not more registered s3x offenders on myspace? Seriously, it was in the National Post (huge Canadian newspaper) last month.

Well said. Bungie.net is too professional for myspace. myspace is a great site for bands, but Bungie is not a band.

...or a bland myspace page?...

A myspace page is only as bland as its user.

Though, it still wouldn't work. -blam!- spams, stupid comments and morons coming to visit. We get enough of the latter 2 here on b.net without adding more. Then, of course, we have the issue of who goes in the top friends...

True, but what about those that don't really know how awesome Halo is. They can findout about it through my space, join here, then go and actually buy Halo.
