every game i have played today i have been on blue team (except one but im not going to count that since its team skirmish and my internet collapsed on me half way through the game). in nearly each case red team would not have won if one individual on their team had gotten a few kills more than the rest (sometimes alot), that person seemed to always be the host in matches. i live in england and when playing mostly american players host can have huge advantages over me (and overs in america off host can have a large advantage over me too due to their lower latency)

the point being, why am i always on blue team i have 50% of my total games played on blue team and ive won 40% of them whereas ive been on red team 40% of the time and won 65% of the time, does this happen to anyone else? and is it me or does red team always have host? on red team my k/d is 1.2 and on blue my k/d is 0.9 whats up with that? am i just bad on blue team?or am i good on red team?

on halo 3 there was no difference to me i played equally well on both teams and killed alot more people (overall kpd over 1.5) to me theres a big problem with host, some people would just beat me due to host advantage not due to their skill. good that its 99.9% better in halo 3

long story short (read if you cant be asked with long threads):
is there a relationship between red team and host?
is there a relationship between who host is and me winning?
what is everyone elses experience with host dis/advantages?
-edit-why do i get on blue team more and win less and vise versa with red team?
-edit-why do i get blue so much more often than red?
are you happy its better in halo 3?

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

What about the other 10%? If you're Blue 50% and Red 40% what are you that last 10%? Other than that I'll just answer your short story questions.

I've never noticed this relationship and will dismiss you as wrong because your math makes no sense.

If host is on your team of course you will do better.

My experience? I do better when host. I've lost because the guy who won was host. I was better but he was host. It happens sometimes.

Of course I'm happy it's not as bad in Halo 3.

Oh, didn't know you were counting customs.

ok im loosing due to one or a total of 3 reasons, bad spawning; i dont know how many times the enemy have spaned behing me or me spawned infront of enemies. bad team mates; team mates that cant make it past 10 and go negative kpd and host

well there must be a reason why i must be going on blue team all the time, and if its not because of connection then why is it, if its random which team your on then thats a 1 in 2048 chance of being on blue team every time, great odds there itll be 1 in 4096 soon

red team and host - no
host and you winning - yes
host always has advantage.
red team on Beaver Creek always has advantage

50 - 40 is pretty even. Seems like your complaing about something that isnt really a problem...
