I'm sure if a Moderator caught you, you would be banned. But the most you can do is send in feed back

you don't use it? ha. you must suck.

You can get banned through feedback, but the actual Banhammer doesn't smash you for it.

I don't use and button glitches. Matter of fact, I played a matchmade game today with some button glitchers in it and came in first place. Button glitches don't make a person good, they make a person a cheater.

RIP Halo 2.

I've played people who "double-shoot". They all need to be pushed through a fine-mesh-screen. It completely makes me feel like I've been cheated out of a kill.

Anyone capable of consistent doubleshotting is a better player than you are anyways.

Kevin's post = breath of fresh air.
Take it from this guy people, he knows what he's talking about.

Second accounts are NOT cheating:

DefLymeNYNE, cry for me a little more. Your tears taste slightly sweet.

How about not using them at all? Button glitches are most likely not going to exist in Halo 3, so why get used to using them?

Button glitches will be in Halo3.

Not necassarily the same ones though.

Bannable through feedback only. Then again, so is looking at people funny.

So is just being better.

I played a game where I just 4 shotted kids left and right, in the postgame, a kid on the other team told me he was leaving feedback because I modded and had an automatic BR.

I think the BXR and BXB are not bannable. Its such a minor offense. MLG Pro's wouldn't be Pro's without button glitches. Abt button glitches in Halo 3: If Bungie hired massive teams of testers to play a beta build for days and hours on end. Anything THEY would have found would probably have gotten fixed. If they couldn't find anything else.. then I don't think we can either. Then there's the fact that EVERY game has glitches. You know, once we find them, bungie will make an update for it. Within 6 months we'll have HALO 3 1.5.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

they are glitches, and exploiting a glitch for your benefit is considered cheating, thus a bannable offense. the real question is can they catch anyone for it?

i personally think that having to use combos is pretty sad, you really gotta wonder how many of the higher ranked people got that way simply off of exploiting glitches.

None.

people that rely on glitches aren't good.

Uhh, just because they didn't find anything doesn't mean anything. The gameplay hours totaled in testing doesn't come near to how much gameplay hours will be logged by us consumers.

Plus, "just updating it" doesn't work. BXR and BXB work only because of the first update. Updates can cause as many glitches as they fix.

BXB AND BXR ARENT BANNABLE. WHO WOULD THINK THAT THEY WERE BANNABLE?!? ANYONE THAT HAS ANY SKILL IN THEM USES BXB'S AND BXR'S.

I'm certifiable.

Exploiting animation timing glitches (aka "button combos") is defined to be cheating in the XBox Live Terms of Use.

Wow, apparently people who BXR and BXB have skill.. I dont think so, but i was proved wrong by Merriam Webster.

Main Entry: 2skill
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English skil, from Old Norse, distinction, knowledge; probably akin to Old English scylian to separate, sciell shell -- more at SHELL
1 obsolete : CAUSE, REASON
2 a : the ability to use one's knowledge effectively and readily in execution or performance b : dexterity or coordination especially in the execution of learned physical tasks
3 : a learned power of doing something competently : a developed aptitude or ability <language skills>

-From Merriam Webster's online dictionary.
