Heyyo,

Heh, yeah, I'd work in that comp, if it can handle a NV FX5900 I'm sure it could make room for a ATI 9800PRO. ;)

I for one say save your money, cause even though that vidcard's nvidia, it's a strong one and will do good on all games. If you really wanna gameplay increase, try to find an ATI x800 (or x700) BUT the AGP version, that'll haul some serious ass. Cause yes, the ATI 9800 PRO's better than the NV FX5900 you got in there, but not by a lot...

If I were you, I'd actually upgrade the RAM. Get another stick of 512MB, you'll have a more consistent framerate on newer games that have huge levels like Half Life 2, or Far Cry, or Tribes: Vengeance. :)

ya i know the X800 is a more power full card but its $449.99 were as the 9800 is only $149.99, thats $300 less and i've been waiting for a new card for a while now, my GeForce4 MX 440 may work well with most games other than doom 3 and other high graphical demanding games but even on halo texturs look like crap, when i play halo pc on my computer it's like playing a late N64 game. i want it to look and preform beter than an xbox without waiting much longer or spending to much. "i'm cheap" and as much as i would love a X800, theres no way i can convince my dad into paying that much, it was hard enuf to get him to buy the computer. any other sugestions?
