ive always been confused as to the last level of halo 2. im not talkin about the ark or the actuall endin. what confuses me is how serg.johnson manages to get into the scarab. you see him being split up from miranda into different phantoms, but how does he manage to escape the brutes, yet miranda doesnt. what confuses me more is where do the two marines come from just before the cinematic comes up? ill ignore the fact that when i go up to them they call me chief when infact im the arbiter, cause no games perfect. but id like some theories or explanations as to how serg.johnson gets to the scarab and where the marines come from

Anyway, I never noticed that they called you chief instead of Arbiter, but I suppose that's an easily overlooked mistake. They just didn't record specific sound files for THAT level. As for the Sergeant Johnson thing, he must've superjumped. Sure as hell gets me every time =)

If you're not gonna show some moderation and be a civil human being, you're not even worth the effort.

Just like how he got away and survived everything else. And just because you don't physically see the marines with Keyes and Johnson when they board the phantoms doesn't mean others weren't brought down with them. If anything, Johnson and the marines in his phantom devised a plan and somehow broke free of the brutes, landed on the platform and stole the Scarab just as the Arbiter makes it there. Just my thoughts and it sounds plausible, knowing Sgt. Johnson's character.

Finally playing Halo Reach!

Try using your active camo and running right up to him when you get to that level. Then you'll see what happens :)
