Why do you guys criticize Bungie? All they did was try (and made) the best game in the market. Now you hate them for the most retarded reasons, and they haven't done anything but try to help you. Think about it.

I cant tell you everything but i have

Mobility Radeon 9200
I'm on a labtop to.

Heres what happens. When I start the game it shows the halo ring and it loads. Well then i start hearing the music and I still see the halo ring and also i push up and down on the arrow keys and i can hear it scrolling through the menu. Also sometimes i get in campaign and I can hear whats going on but all i can see is the halo ring. Please help if you can and say how I can fix this.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Disable anti-aliasing on your video card.

Ryanman: if the trial doesn't work then the full game most likely won't either.

I would only hope that a CD-game would be slightly more reliable than downloads. I've experienced first-hand what downloading a game instead of installing it from a disc can do.
But my real point would be... why are you getting the demo for a game you've undoubtedly played before? It's kinda lazy and stupid in my opinion but oh well. then again he doesn't exactly have a overkill hardware setup so I'll leave the chance that he actually wanted to see how it would run on his system.

I only know how to do it for Nvidia graphics cards. Right click on your desktop and go to Nvdiai Control Panel, go into Advanced properties and where it says "Anti-aliasing settings" change it to OFF.

hi mate , i think i know your problem , i had exactly the same problem, i tried many many different things, nothings works!!! in the end i tried one more thing , which was to take out the ram upgrade i put in my laptop, and it was confirmed halo trial and halo started working fine, im not sure if it was because the ram was using it's backwards compatibility , ,, but my advice to u , is if you have upgraded your ram, remove it and then try halo, if it still dosent work then the ram you have in the laptop is the wrong ram, i dont know what laptop you have ,im using a HP zt3000 which has 2 x 256 sticks in it, 333 , pc 2700 DDR , my upgrade was a 1 ghz stick 333 pc3200 which has been fine for every game accept halo, even when i took both 256 sticks out , and just put the 1 ghz it still didnt work , halo wanted the pc 2700 ram , so the backwards compatability does not agree with halo , i cant see anything else it could be, backwards compatibility means that if my laptop is only ment to have pc2700 ram and i put a pc3200 ram in it , it would run at the 2700 speed,

the problem i had was exact down to a spec of what ur problem is, im sure now you will solve this mind twister, good luck
