Not to be a mook, but can you please fix the third word of the subject (typo): oene --> one and, while you're at it, attach it to the "any-" Thanks.

On topic: you shouldn't read too much into reviews. They are, afterall, just over-inflated opinioins. Unless it is blatantly obvious that the game will be horrible, you may find that your own judgement of the game differs greatly from that of many reviewers. Take movie reviews for example: on the movie website RottenTomatos.com, the critic reviews for "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" were relatively bad with only a 14% approval rating. The user reviews, however, were much higher at a 58% approval. I happened to like the movie. I thought it was pretty funny and well worth my time and money, as is Halo 2 (Vista).

*marvels* your all still here...

Personally, I think the game looks great. Huge resolution, high framerate, vivid colors- I can only imagine what it would look like on Vista.

For your average ignorant fool, but I, an above average ignorant fool, am capable of running it on XP.

But, being the ignorant fool you are, you're depriving yourself of the LIVE Gaming experience.

Everything this guy said.

First of all, I'm tired of morons like you, so lets just lay the cards out right on the bat. Second of all, do you even own Halo 2 vista? Third of all, you said Halo 2 has the same feel of Halo, may I just say that is one of the stupidest things I have heard this week. Congratulations.

Dude, Halo 2 in comparison to Halo 1 is crap, but based on your post, have you even played it. I'm too lazy to take it apart piece by piece, but in general, nearly everything you said was complete crap.

First of all, I'm tired of fanboys like you, so let's just lay the small pieces of paper out right on the flying nocturnal mammal (what the crap?). Second of all, did you even read my post? Third of all, you said that I said that Halo 2 has the same feel of Halo, which proves you didn't read my post because I said that Halo 2 feels NOTHING like Halo. May I just say that your post was the dumbest thing I have read all week. Congratulations.

Dude, Halo 2 in comparison to Halo 1 is crap (can't really argue there), but based on your post, you can't even see that the amount of detail I used in my post proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have played Halo 2. You're obviously too lazy to read and comprehend my first post at all, and in general, your response was complete crap.

It's simplistic in the way the gameplay is handled. It's basically the same with Halo 1; You have the same gameplay style all the way through the game.

Ya, I did read your garbage. I agree Halo 2 is crap in comparison, I always have, however, I disagree with people bashing this game to the level of punishment it's receiving. Dude, you said you wanted to give the game lower than a six. Weather or not Halo 2 is good or bad in your opinion it is not worth that. Most reviewers did over rate it on the xbox, when it did deserve a 8.2 or something (for a console game). And yes, it was a lacking a lot of things when it was converted over to the PC, however, it's the same freggin game. It did loose a a bunch of point for missing a few features, however, the only reason you can and should take away points from a game like Halo 2, is if major features are taken away. And to tell you the truth, there were many things added.

Graphics were improved, don't believe me, go take the original textures and models from Halo 2 on the xbox, put them on your 1280 x 1024 screen, while sitting a foot away, and you'll see what I mean. Second of all, a map editor, though limited, it is currently being hacked, and from what I've fiddled with, it's much simpler to use than the old HEK (which I couldn't use at all). Third of all, paying to get special features online sucks, paying to play online period on the xbox sucks more. Also, everything you said about controlls is bull, so I'm just going to toss that statement right out.

Halo 2 didn't live up to Halo, boo -blam!- hoo. Most games period can't even get close to Halo 1's prowess. Does that mean they're bad, no. Same with Halo 2.

Well, Halo 1 and 2 were both pretty awesome, to say so at my own opinion. I highly enjoy the Halo PC online experience. But Halo 2 was a major change when adding new weapons, Dual Wield, graphics (Not as great as the Source engine, but who gives a damn? Bungie did a darn well job on them anyways.) and the simple fact of the custom look for your Multiplayer Profile. I think Halo 2 was an exception to the rule of sequels being dumb and boring, something which I really believe in.

According to other people's signatures, 98% of America has tried or is addicted to marijuana. If you are part of the 95% of the people who don't live in America, then add this to your signature.

The addition of the Arbiter was narrative brilliance, but gameplay and immersion failure. It gave you an insight into what was happening with the Covenant, and more details about the Covenant, which I really wanted, and I thought was great, and to be honest, a bit more background on the Covenant is what Halo's story needed, but the levels weren't that great (except for Uprising which I loved) and it messed up the immersion a bit.

Yeah, the Campaign levels generally sucked. Except for Delta Halo with Master Chief and the city invasion. Sorry, but I don't learn names of missions.

*Cough* Counter-Strike *Cough*

Yes, Counter Strike. A fun game, but limited. A diverse storyline with interesting enemies, a good plot and cool hero(es)? No, sorry. Vehicles? No, sorry. Large levels? No, sorry. A wide variety of gametypes? No, sorry.

Now, I love Counter Strike, and the few times I've played it it has been a lot of fun. But as a whole package it isn't close to Halo.

To the person above, I loved those levels as well, but I was talking about the Arbiter's levels - I thought that he was an awesome character but his levels were lame (except Uprising, like I said).

I own the three Counter-Strike games, and honestly, it's not nearly as fun as Halo. Kim, seriously, if you trully relish Counter-Strike then let everyone know at Counter-Strike.net/. This, after all, is the Halo PC Forum. :\

Here are a few games I don't like, and it's odd as most people love them.

Counter Strike: America's army is better.
Half Life: It's just something about this game that doesn't interest me.
Battle Field: After a while, I find it repetitive.
Mario: Wahhhaaa

In opinion I think most shooters are crap, lacking a story line and just force you to kill things. Even in Gears of War I just felt like the Locust were mindless zombies that wanted to destroy humanity for no reason at all. At least in Halo you have an explanation with religious higher up's leading their ignorant followers to war.

AA is basically built around recruiting gamers into the military. I refuse to play a game modeled around coaxing and propaganda. And if you haven't touched CS: Source, then I suggest you try that instead, as it completely demolishes CS 1.6.
Half Life: It's just something about this game that doesn't interest me.
HL1 MP is dumb. HL2 has a certain feel to it that rocks. Reminds me of no-shields Halo, but without the noobishness.
Mario: Wahhhaaa

Gears = Epic games. Epic always makes their games with the idea of shrouding the story in mystery, and free-thinking players will end up wondering why things are the way they are as far as story is concerned, and try to piece together conclusions from the game content. There's a name for this type of storytelling, but I don't remember what it is.

I hate it when people bash AA like that. That's not true. It's funded by the government, yes, but they're not screaming "JOIN THE ARMY" in your face at every loading screen. Perhaps they have a link to the US Army's website in-game that you can click on, but in no way is it a propaganda tool. It's simply a tactical simulator that people can play and enjoy and have fun and see what it's like to be in the US forces (albeit, without the dirty parts like how you don't have to clean the toilets because a soldier in your platoon failed to run all the laps during training). And it's free.

By the way, if I can say one thing; this probably won't matter much, but CS to this day is the most popular online shooter.

Ah but thats the thing about opinion. I don't need to like Counter Strike, even if it's more popular than sliced bread.

Actually, I saw a program in Discovery Channel about the Video Game age, and the main creator of the game, a U.S Soldier, said that was it's main purpose. Ony's right, and yes, I am also refusing to touch or even have anything to do with a game based on foolish propaganda to join the army.
