I think a single processor G5 would do the same thing in gaming for you...

Shesh, I've never understood all that computer jargon. Which reminds of the STAR tests that we took. One of the questions was, "Are they using computer jargon such as: drag, click, copy, and paste?" It was something like that.

Trust me the Dual 2 Ghz G5 will make you -blam!- your pants, i have it with the 23 inch screen also, but mine probably doesn't have the amount of upgrades you're getting, so... damn some one with a better computer than me!

I was talking about the STAR testing being a -blam!- joke and really -blam!- easy.

How can you say a dual G5 is better than a single G5 when you have never tried the second one?

IMO i think your better with a cheaper pc...but thats just my humble opinion.

like the old saying, "two heads are better than one" but switch "heads" with "processors"

  • 06.01.2004 5:24 PM PDT

*Looks at Master Shake with great envy*

And I thought my new eMac was cool. ;)

Also, a dual-processor G5 is MUCH better than a single processor G5. Simply because you can only get a 1.6 GHz G5 in a single-processor option. 2.0 and 1.8 GHz only come in dual-processor options.

Also, Mac OS X manages dual processors much better than Windows does, so the effect is greater in a Mac.

One big reason why Macs are better for gaming: they can play EVERY Bungie game ever made. That's good enough reason for anybody, I'd have thought. And Apple's 23" screens kick mucho arse.

Oh, man, my keyboard's all covered in saliva. Not again!

  • still hates toast

No Mac vs. Pc discussions please. This topic has been discussed to death on almost every tech oriented message board already...who cares? I like both. Why if you own one system do you have to hate the other? It's so dumb. Grow up.

  • 06.01.2004 6:20 PM PDT

Technically, since you said "Apple", that includes all Apple products. So you are bagging everything from Macs, to iPods, to Final Cut Pro. That's a fairly broad statement.

Pretty good processor. IBM inside.
Though one problem, the graphics cards suck as does the operating system ;). Though, I do like the specs of apple. Hell, even I wish I had a IBM processor. They're 64 bit ones blow Intel and AMD out of the water.

You can get better graphics cards in Apples than the Radeon 9200 32 meg, you know.

That'd be my dream machine. *stars in eyes*

I want proof of that, show me some direct benchmark and please not on the apple website...
