It went something like this.
Firstly, the population usage was declining, almost ending up as the least played playlist. Jeremiah tried concentrating Major and Minor clanmatch into one playlist, but that didn’t help.
Lesser experienced clans would suffer terribly from higher ranking players in low ranked clans. The trend consists of; a group of high level players create a clan, bash inexperienced players, and reach a desired or high level. Then from getting cheated or bored at a higher level, they restart a new clan again, winning games against new players.
This prevented a lot of gamers from playing the clanmatch playlist mainly for this reason. As you can see, the rank system wasn’t doing its designated function, rendering the playlist useless.

I completely forgot why Bungie took out Clan Matches from the gametypes. Anyone know why? i wasn't around for ranked clans so am i to assume the matches weren't based on the players in the match but rather the clans pllaying each other...i can see that being annoying since you can quit and join or even start new clans as often as you like...not as easy to spit out $50 everytime you wanna start from scratch.
