1. whats up with the boss fights? one of the great things about the first halo was that it didnt follow much of the stereotypical video game crap. i was rather disappointed to see bosses in halo 2. sure, there arent many, but it still takes me out of the realm of the great, grand scale battles of halo and dumps me into a video game cliche.

2. why is it that in the future, radio transmissions sound like cheep 1970's radio shack walkie talkies? if my cell phone can sound good, there is no reason why all transmissions in halo should sound like trash.

3. the big banshee dog fight. once again, this plays out like a generic video game instead of halo.

4. where's the blood?

im not saying i dont dig halo 2, but these are a few instances where i feel they really should have stuck with their original winning formula. am i the only one who feels this way or are others here also underwhelmed by these changes?

We have to adapt to the changes as they come along. Whenever you try something new, there'll always be things people like and dislike. I actually don't mind the bosses, or the radio static. The thing that got me was the heart-breaking renderer that didn't let you enjoy the graphics because stuff is always popping up in the background.

Still, if Bungie had just done everything they did in Halo 1 with new levels, we'd be saying, yeah, it's ok, but there's nohting new... it feels like we've played this game before. Bungie had to take risks and try new things. Inevitably, some ideas will be good (vehicle boarding, yay!) and other ideas are not (loading maps on the fly? How did that idea not get stopped?).

Still I commend them for their efforts, they told a very good story after all.

There were better choices then making the fuzz in the radio, we can do that today with telephones so why not that far in the future? In halo1 the main enemy was 343 Guilty Spark... and the way to stop his evil plan is to destroy halo. So halo1 is not an acception to the rules of big bosses. It was just much more subtle in the first. But what pisses me off is that he can’t throw grenades far at all… I can throw farther than him.

What bosses? I didn't experience anything that came even close to the Mario "bosses" where you defeated them by grabbing their tails and smashing them into the ground.

And I see lots of blood. And I like Halo 2.

Oh, and with the radio, even on a cell phone one experiences static. escpecially on the halo rings. They don't have sattelites orbiting the Halo rings, so they have to have unit to unit communications...
